My wife really loves this for applying ice-melter on our stairs, as it provides lots of options for distributing (difference sized openings), and is much small and lighter than the ones sold by the ice-melter companies. She would highly recommend !

Spreading grass seed? Don't feel like investing in a push or pull spreader. Buy this! The large handle makes it relatively comfortable to hold and easy to use. Fairly ergonomic design. Choose your feed or spread rate by rotating the dial and you're off and running. It's built well and holds more seed than I thought it might. Super functional and makes spreading a faster and more efficient process. I'd imagine you could use it with fertilizer too. Lastly I like that it's made in America (I think.)

For my business it has definitely come in handy and saved me time for going back and forth for getting the salt or what you want to put in it

I have used this shaker spreader to apply pre-emergent on my lawn and salt to my walkways. It's durable and easy to grip and hold onto while using. It fits a good amount into the canister. I like that there are size options depending on what you want to use it for (there are small holes for the pre-emergent but also bigger holes for salt). I am pleased with this product and only wish I got it sooner. I was using an old, souvenir cup from a restaurant before which obviously didn’t hold much and I couldn’t control how much I let out at a time.

Good so far for distribution of ice melt. I use the wide opening. Sturdy. Easy twist on and off. I have a separate cup for the ice melt bag to pour into this one. Holds enough for one driveway distribution. The long "spout?" makes shaking it all out that end easy. I wish there was an opening between just fully open and the largest available holes to maybe just make it come out a little less, but it's ok. Not mad I bought it.
