Really super for beginners!
Adult, been learning for about a week using an app but felt it wasn’t helping me remember the names of the notes etc. Bought this and really helpful. I’m more readily able to understand the positioning on the keys, getting better at knowing the note from sight and reading/playing with both hands significantly faster. As well as the exercises with rhythm and getting to know the notes, interspersed are nice little arrangements using the notes you’ve just been through, which sometimes take a few tries but you really feel nice progression. Would happily buy again and would buy other books by the same author in the same vein, far better than some of the chunkier books I have (which are far less simple and fun!)

Excellent for beginners, helps with rhymes and strengthens fingers. Good finger exercises. Highly recommend.

Very helpful
For someone who has returned to the piano after many years - it has been a great help to relearning sheet music.

Only for absolute zero beginners
A wholly misleading description, and for me a total waste of money.Have you never touched a piano before? This book is for you. If you can find your way around the scale of C major and count to 4 in a regular beat, avoid. There is one F sharp in the entire book, and a few B flats, but the vast majority of the exercises are the most rudimentary imaginable in C major. Most of the "100" drills are a single line in length (note the book has 31 pages of actual drill content). The "top tips" featured throughout are banal, such as "Keep repeating each line until you can play without hesitation" and "You can use these drills as warm ups every day". That is the extent of the expertise. On the cover, in large, block capitals, it says: "100 Exercises to master note reading on the piano". It won't even get you past the basics, let alone anywhere near mastery. In the foreword it is promised that the book gives you "all the tools you need to read notes and rhythms fluently". How this is possible with drills that only use common time and no ledger lines is beyond me.

Essential
Originally brought for my daughter age 10 who's found it really essential for short snippets of daily practice. Then my mum visited, age 74 and she's never really played the piano before but has had an upright (out of tune piano) in the corner of her living room all her life. She found the daily drills book THE BEST for doing short snippets of tunes that she could then actually remember and enjoy! For the first time in her life!

Clear concise and visually appealing ‘Daily Drills’
This really is a lovely book. My daughter (8 years) opened it up and due to it being so clear, concise and visually appealing she took to it straight away. Without anyone prompting her or saying a word she picked it up and started practicing without help, she is noticeably enjoying going through each lesson/ drill :)

Just what I was looking for
I played up to grade 6 as a child but 30 years later I am decidedly rusty on which key is which. It was so frustrating, and I wanted to get back up to speed on reading music so I can enjoy playing again.I was delighted to find this book which felt specifically designed to help me in this goal, in a really accessible and non-threatening way! I can’t wait to work through it.

Simply Excellent
This book is like nothing I have ever seen. My 6 and 8 year old daughters as well as myself are for the first time learning how to properly read notes. The greatest compliment to their piano books where they learn their music pieces. It is perfectly written! Every budding pianist needs to have this book. I cannot recommend it enough.
