I got these for a couple leatherworking projects I have, and overall they seem really good. They feel very sturdy, and seem to actually have a good bit of force holding the faces of them together with just the magnet in one side. Based on what I've seen so far, I suspect they'll last longer than normal snaps, as I've had a few of those over the years wear out and not hold very securely, barring some kind of unexpected damage to these magnetic ones anyways. They are also very slim compared to many options I've tried in the past, so they won't bulk up a smaller piece like a concho might for example, and if you design it right, you can make the back side of them invisible, leaving only the locking faces to see. I feel these are great little snaps, that I'd be happy to use on most of my projects, other than maybe wallets but that's just my personal preference, I'd rather keep magnets away from my cards as much as possible. Maybe it would be fine, but I don't know. Other than that, I would say there's lots of other purposes for these though. tl;dr- Pros: -good quality -they offer a strong closure -easy to install -quite slim for what they are, reducing bulk Cons: -would be afraid of demagnetizing cards or having it interfere somehow with their ability to function. (maybe not really possible, I do not know, but for that reason, I don't use it on wallets) Overall, I highly recommend this product, and I feel it's a great option for lots of leather projects, and likely could work for other non-leather things too.

What a relief to have an item arrive and be perfect. First, I was happy to find this type of installation existed as prongs wouldn't have worked for this application. But, how was the quality? Great, just great. The cap didn't cave in when I hit it with the hammer. The color is very handsome...antique brass. Sturdy. Easy to install with the tools supplied. I was worried they might be loose on the thickness of materials being used but they are snug enough. My only concern is the magnets are very strong and hope they don't cause wear to the fabric over time, when pulled apart. They will snap together without having to look at them or line them up...they'll just find each other.

They’re good, strong magnets. Actually maybe even too strong. If the snap locks exactly in place such that the nibs in the center line up exactly, it’s significantly more difficult to open. I’ve reinforced the back of the snap with interfacing but I’m a little bit worried that it might damage the surrounding fabric over time. Otherwise, they’re perfect.

easy to install, comes with the tools needed (I mean you will need a hammer) case is nice for organization. they work perfectly and hold stronger than i expected. if using with just cotton a backing/interfacing might be needed to keep the fabric stable. plenty of clasps for the price and the size of the button that is visible is great. not too big and easy to blend in.

These turned out to be perfect for my backpack project. They're very strong so I wouldn't suggest using them on thin fabric. I even reinforced the canvas as a precaution. Very pleased with the look, the tools included work well but I found the hole punch to be rather dull and just used my better made leather punch on the same size. Would definitely used these on another project.

I was able to put together some leather pouches for the Ren faire that you didn't have to fight to open and close if you were going to use them all day. The buttons hold well and they set easily. The magnets locked fast and held well.

Not used yet, but item well packaged in box and bubble wrap and plastic container. Magnets appear quite strong and finish is nice. BUT, hole punch is useless and dull as a rock. Glad I have a set already.

Reasonable for the price but, fold down flaps don't hold very well.

Compared to the Swpeet brand (which I returned), this Sopnom brand magnetic snap is not only thinner, but significantly stronger in the magnetic hold. Like 2-3x the magnetic hold. The fabric you install these on should be strong, so that you don't tear the fabric pulling apart the magnetic snaps! This has the included installation tools, which are really important when installing the round rivet backing, otherwise the rivet shaft will deform the dome. The concave shape of the installation tool supports the rounded button so the full force is distributed across the whole snap. The best way to install these is with the included tools and an arbor press.

I was worried that, being magnetic, the button might pop open with any pressure to do so. I'm glad to say that I was needlessly worried. I have replaced pant buttons with great success. No pop opens, and no issues with placement, movement, or comfort. These work great! The instructions are easy to follow, and all you need is a hammer to secure the button, otherwise it comes with everything you need.

I chose these as I wanted to add magnetic clasps to a felt bedside organizer and a few other things that need fixing. This is a good kit that comes with everything needed including instructions, tools, and the clasps in both in silver and bronze (10 sets each). The only thing you’ll need to supply is a hammer. It comes with instructions that show two different techniques for attaching the clasps. These become a lot easier to install once you’ve done a couple and know the steps. It comes with a strong magnetic holder that makes attaching these a lot easier. These clasps are so handy and have many uses. The case it came in unfortunately came broken in several spots. There was a large hole that someone had stuck a barcode sticker over it so nothing would fall out (at least it came complete) and the clip to close the case was broken off. I was able to glue a piece to fix the hole but I’m going to need to find somewhere else to store them as it won’t close. It does not appear that the damage occurred during shipping and was sent to me this way. The case is only a minor component though and the clasps themselves work very well. These are exactly what I needed to finish my project.
