OakRidge Deluxe Ironing Board with Storage Cabinet, White

We have downsized and I had no place to put a stand-up ironing board. I love this ironing board storage cabinet. The ironing board folds up easily (no more tugging and lifting an awkward big board), and the storage underneath is perfect for my iron and distilled water. The whole thing fits in a corner and takes up an area of approximately one square foot. It is perfect!

This ironing board is great in my small sewing room. I keep only one side up unless I have a large item to iron. The narrow tip is a bit wide so I may have to get out my other board if I have something narrow that needs to go over the tip but not so far. Basically I am learning to iron without the old board. This storage is great, eliminates some clutter.

Let me start off by saying, I’m reasonable in my expectations of inexpensive MDF furniture. I understand I’m not paying a lot, so I know the item will not be something you’ll keep for many years. That being said, this is the worst piece of furniture I’ve ever purchased. Multiple pieces were covered in dings with missing paint. The grooves where pieces were supposed to slide in didn’t line up. The pre-drilled holes didn’t line up for screws. The metal bars that hold up the ironing board don’t fit all the way into the grooves, so you’re unable to secure them with the sliding mechanism (meaning a greater likelihood that the board will collapse while in use). There’s a large dent on the actual ironing board that will effect my ironing and leave creases in my fabric. I’m not going to bother trying to return this, because it’s mostly put together and trying to return something this size is a pain. I’m also only planning on using this for sewing projects - I don’t iron regularly. I really wanted something that was slim with storage for my craft room, and I couldn’t find anything else comparable to this. But if you do iron regularly, I would not recommend this piece. Edit: to add insult to injury, I was ironing a light piece of cotton and the ink from the ironing board cover transferred onto my piece.

As a space saving unit, it fills the need. It was easy to put together, although the instructions were all drawings. I've used it for a few weeks and found it functional as designed. There are a few drawbacks I've found, however. The rounded edge is very wide and makes it difficult to iron upper sleeves on shirts. Also, the reason for the loss of a star, the unit is top heavy. Putting too much pressure on the fold out causes it to tip. I plan to add some weights to the bottom portion to counter. The height of the open shelf is too short for a full size iron. Some reviewers have commented on the lack of casters. There isn't any. On that note, casters would be more problematic than anything. Not having them was a wise decision by the manufacturer.

Pros: I love the height of this product, was easy to put together, and love the storage underneath. Cons: The curved end of ironing board is too wide to place a non button up shirt on to iron and the handles holding the board up when using are flimsy and one side is hard to get up. I love the idea of it and if curved in was smaller, it would be close to perfect! Oh and a prettier cover would be nice.

I cannot say enough good about this table, it is sturdy and nice to iron on. I bought this for my sewing room to replace a large ironing board and this fits the bill perfectly, the top is roomy enough for me to lay out my pieces to pin together and it is really nice to press clothes on.. I am very happy that I got it. Dolores

1st time using as I just got it yesterday. I was ironing ribbon and the cover melted. Contacted seller in hopes of getting a new cover. Will right a better review if I hear back on a replacement. I love the looks of it but the fabric is very thin so be careful when ironing. I did not expect this to happen or I would have maybe done things different. I have never had a cover melt before.

This ironing cart is the perfect edition to my walk-in closet. I added 1.5 inch swivel casters purchased right here on Amazon for only $11.99. I easily roll it around to put the laundry away. It is also the PERFECT height. The ironing board is HUGE compared to other boards. I love the larger size.
