Amazing shoe very comfortable.
Wow! Great shoe that fits a wide foot. Not cheap but a real bargain for the price. Comfort level is above expected. Thank you, Amazon we love you.

Podiatrist-recommended, made in the USA, comfortable
Before we retired, I developed a nice little case of Plantar Fasciitis. While seeing a podiatrist about it, he recommended I stop wearing the crappy walking shoes I had and get some that would help with my arch support and pronation of the heals. Either that or give him a few hundred bucks for some custom orthotics. He said I should look into the higher-end series of shoes (like 900 or above) from New Balance. I went to a New Balance store, found the 928 Walking Shoes and have been wearing one version or another of them for 10 years now. I like the way they look, they are comfortable and my Plantar Fasciitis, after some physical therapy, has not returned. Plus, while not all New Balance shoes are made in the US, these models are. Since my feet haven't changed size, I find myself getting them through Amazon as the nearest New Balance store is now over an hour from where I live and the local chain stores sell only the lower end (400, 500 & 600) series of New Balance shoes. I recommend them and if you have a podiatrist, they probably do as well.

Longevity
I wore these shoes daily for 7 months. They are good on comfort and a good fitting shoe. The sole cushioning is in fair shape and still comfortable. Strings are good, outer sole and heel are in excellent shape. I mainly walk on natural ground and terrain so the sole is not really subjected to the abrasion of concrete on a daily basis. The leather and mesh upper is good. The interior lining and cushioning is worn through around the top or just below the collar and at the back of the heel on both shoes. I guess that would be where the Achilles tendon might be. On one the foam inner lining is gone completely in an area about the size of a quarter. Tongue is in good condition. Toe shield is releasing on the left shoe and on the right shoe it is just beginning to come loose. Where the upper attaches to the sole there is a 2 inch separation of the upper from the sole. It starts from the base of the big toe and goes around the inside of the left foot. This is beginning on the other shoe as well. If I were to continue wearing these for another couple of weeks the upper would separate from the sole and present a complete split and open air breech at these locations. I will say this though, they did indeed relieve some pain from plantar fasciitis. I don't know what the average longevity is for a shoe but I would think you should be able to get a year of daily use and I got about 60% of that. I'm pretty active on the farm here so I guess you could count that influence. So I gave this shoe 4 stars on account of the deterioration in the heel counter and the toe guard - upper/sole separations. It cost me an average of $0.66 per day to wear these shoes. You could probably get a year or more out of them if you weren't trekking the boonies everyday. I bought them solely based on the need for an orthopedic aid and pain relief from plantar fasciitis and I am quite happy with that aspect of it.

The only shoe that really works for me.
Due to problems with my ankles that cause most shoes to wear quickly on the inside on one and the outside on the other, most sports shoes don’t hold up for very long and they start to affect my walk and balance, and can make my ankles a little sore. I end up throwing them away long before they wear out visibly. I wear orthotics from Good Feet and and I was advised by one of their sales reps to buy New Balance shoes that include their Roll Bar feature. I’ve been buying them now for years and consistently get the longest durability of any shoe I’ve tried, including New Balance shoes without the Roll Bar. And they fit my size 16 feet perfectly and are very comfortable. I’ve tried to cheap it out a few times with other brands, but they just don’t hold up under my weight with my poor ankles. I’ll keep buying New Balance shoes with the Roll Bar feature as long as they continue making them.

Good shoes to have
I wear this for walking. It is very supportive and comfortable. The leather top makes it easy to keep a new shoe look.

Not as good as it once was.
Used to be a good shoe, it's wide, but arch location has changed and so has width. It's not a 6e, more like a 5e. My arches end up sitting on the top side edges of the padding, not flat on the sole.

I'm so happy with these shoes that I bought a second pair.

Schnelle Lieferung, gute Ware und klasser Service. Schuhe sind im schönen schwarzen Leder und sehen an sich super aus, leider etwas klopig aber mit dem richtigen outfit kein Problem

Product met my expectations based on podiatrists recommendations.

Not too sure they're official new balance. Took a month or two to properly wear them in (daily wearing) and the quality seems a little shoddy tbh. Shoes looked different too than the pair pictured.
