HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Cocoa, 8 Ounce

My gosh this is a fantastic product. Fwiw, I never been a snob about anything. I am not a winno snob, sushi snob, coffee snob, but boy am I cocoa snob. I have been using cocoa in my oats as a staple for years. I also use in banana-cocoa smoothies. For years I used regular cocoa but bought this on a whim and it just provides such a richer tasting experience. It doesn't make a big difference in the banana-cocoa smoothies, but it is killer in oats. Take a bowl of oats, add a banana, 2 tbsp of this, 1/2 tbsp of cinnamon, and some freshly chopped coconut and you are in wonderland.

I make the super easy but deliciously homemade Hershey chocolate cake recipe that's usually on the cocoa can or found on the Hershey.com website but use this Special Dark Cocoa product in place of the regular cocoa. My family goes crazy over it. I also use it in my banana bread, mixing some in half of the batter and making a marble effect when I swirl the two halves in the pan before baking - just remove enough flour from your recipe for equal amounts of cocoa but don't go overboard, a little big goes a long way with banana bread. I also make the hot cocoa recipe using this and I can't go back to those little envelopes anymore now that I know what I was missing out on. I also add a teaspoon to my favorite barbeque rub and the cocoa gives a richness to the grilled meat. Superb! This price is cheaper than I've found locally so I will continue purchasing on Prime Pantry.

I was originally trying to order black cocoa but couldn't find it so I thought this would be a good substitute. It is OK and probably worth doing it again.I thought I was ordering something unique but did notice they sold this in our local grocery store. Thank God for Amazon Prime. The only negative was that there was a slight hole in the seal of the cocoa and it got cocoa powder all over the box. . . and the other item along with it.

I so recommend Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa!!! Beyond exceeded my expectations! A little goes a long way to add flavor to end my cravings for chocolate! I'm on a low carb diet, yet still crave chocolate at times without having the guilt of cheating. Yes I know it has 2 net carbs per tablespoon. I've found that I can use 1/4 tsp added to my unsweetened almond milk smoothies or coffee & it adds just the right amount of chocolate flavor. Just an FYI if adding full tsp it makes it super chocolate flavored & almost black looking. I could only imagine how it would be if I used a full serving. It's a perfect blend I love that it doesn't have that bitterness to it like the unsweetened cocoa.

I absolutely love this! It has so much more flavor than the regular cocoa powder. It is rich and deep tasting. I use cocoa powder in my morning smoothies for the chocolate taste, low carb and calories as compared to actual chocolate, and the health benefits if they really do exist. Amazon Prime Pantry has the lowest price that I’ve found but they have changed the ordering process with Prime Pantry with a new higher price or extra subscription and minimum order required.

I use this as a anti-depressant; I can't take rx drugs. One ounce a day has changed my life, and my skin tone has evened out. I highly reccomend this. As for a baking product this is the number one for me. HOW TO USE: for anti depressant use..mix 2 T with a high protein powder,then mix this with Bai coconut drink. you get the protein,anti oxy's, and the cacoa benefits. Try daily for a week, if it works don't stop.
