Very fun toy

The Boomdozer is a great addition to any Nerfers collection, The Blaster fires hard, It shoots pretty far (Within reason, the darts are huge) and its heavy and chonky. Its the perfect Blaster for a demolitions class, especially if the darts have a specific role like shield breaking or extra respawn time. Its a surprisingly good blaster from Modern Nerf, I definitely recommend it.

Pros-Nerf quality n fit n finish, ok price on sale, darts whistle, fab gifting, fast shipping to SF area, fun as heck, oh so unique!! Cons-pricey darts, limited range n FPS, no box upon arrival-just display box-lucky I was home!!!- proprietary ammo-heavy for kids. Ok so goofy as hell, but a blast as that’s what these r in the end; intended for! Whatta fab Xmas gift in the house on Xmas morn. Buy this: u will dig!

Something of the "flagship" for the bombastically oversized MEGA XL line, the Boom Dozer is a huge beast of a blaster that takes the best aspects of this series and ups the ante even further. Where the Double Crusher has 2 barrels firing independently and the Big Rig is a standard single-shot "pistol" (albeit a huge one), the Boom Dozer boasts an oversized 6-dart cylinder in its giant chassis. This lets you launch a deluge of the massive blue MEGA XL darts via the pump-handle priming mechanism, and the blaster even has slam-fire (ie. it can be continuously fired by holding down the trigger and pumping the handle back and forth). While the Boom Dozer isn't innovative in the traditional sense, the fact that it can fire such massive foam darts in rapid fashion makes it a ton of fun, especially so since the MEGA XL darts deliver a noticeable whistle when fired. As with all MEGA XL blasters the Boom Dozer is a huge and unwieldy design by most standards, but it's certainly not uncomfortable to use given its reasonable ergonomics. All-in-all, this is probably the best the MEGA XL series has to offer, though it's pricey enough that the smaller Double Crusher and Big Rig might be more reasonable entry points if you're not sure about MEGA XL.

SO MUCH FUN !!! The darts are comically large and they whistle through the air. Extra fun if you slap a stock on it. Great power, easy draw, easy to load. Wish they would make more in the mega XL line!!

This thing is somewhat large and heavy relative to my kid's size but he definitely has fun with it, abuses it quite a bit and it hasn't failed. He hauls it around and has a lot of fun with it. The mechanism feels strong and positive, definitely not cheap or weak feeling construction. The darts shoot out with some power and make a whistling noise when going through the air. The darts have a foam body and medium density rubber heads, enough weight to feel when you get hit but not enough to hurt anyone unless they got shot in the face close range. Definitely happy with the purchase.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get a nerf blaster for fun, having whistling darts the size of a hot dog bun is one of the most most enjoyable experience I have had firing a blaster. The darts are more accurate than standard darts but don't fly as far as some other blasters. only issue is the size as it can be fairly uncomfortable for younger people.
