Miele Genuine SUB 20 Universal Brush Vacuum Cleaner Attachment for Miele Vacuum Cleaners – 7475870

This is one expensive brush attachment. I have a Miele and wanted an attachment for those hard to reach places and settled on this. The rounded version is fine, but this angular and rotatable version is just much better for household duties. Likes?: It is a brush. Like the swivel.. Love the pointy end with allows this to be put in places it otherwise wouldn't go with a circular shape. Dislikes?: The price point. Dopes this have to be twice as expensive as the circular brush that essentially does the same thing? That is ridiculous. ' Overall: Well, this is my second purchase of this brush because my dog used the first as a chew toy. So I must like it. It is expensive, but it is also super useful.

Purchased this brush to use to vacuum the logs in our cabin. The little brush that came with the Miele vacuum is just too small. This brush works great on the logs, making the job go much faster. Have found it also works great dusting mini blinds. I use it vertically, sweeping the brush back and forth on closed blinds and it makes the job go much faster than using the small brush and doesn't put dust in the air like when I use a microfiber cloth. Debated about getting this because of the price but am glad I bought it. The ability to adjust the angle on the brush, although awkward to get into position, is a feature that will help for dusting high shelves, ceiling fans, etc.

I read the many negative reviews of the Miele SUB20 Universal Brush, but I decided to gamble and get one anyway. I have been looking for a vacuum brush for a very specific purpose - to clean the felt surface of my pool table. Of course, I plan to use the brush for other things also, but that was my primary need. The main complaint I noted was that the brush adjustments are too loose and it makes it hard to use. So I was especially worried about that, and that was something I paid a lot of attention to. I can say, that either Miele has made an improvement to the brush, or I am using it differently than many, because this is so far not a problem for me. If you apply a lot of pressure to the brush when you use it, you can move it out of position - but if you just "brush" things with it instead of "scrubbing", it seems to stay in place fine. It takes a bit of getting used to this tool, because it adjusts in two places - both of which are angled adjustments. But with a little practice you can get it at just the angle you need for the job. My primary complaint so far as that the brush tends to shed hairs if you're using it on a fabric surface. When using it on my pool table, I spent more time trying to suck up the hairs it was shedding than anything else. I'm hoping that this will lessen over time. It did do a nice job on the pool table - so thumbs up for that (with the caveat about the shedding). The bristles are a bit stiffer than I would like, stiffer than the round dusting brush, but acceptable. If things change, such as the tool loostening up over time, etc. I will update this review. But after a few uses, I like this brush and would recommend it.

As with all Miele accessories, it cost more than non-brand parts. But, it is made well and will likely last longer. We replaced a different Miele dusting brush with this one because the bristles are longer and slightly heaver, which will work well for our purposes. This brush adjusts several different ways to fit into tough spots and the adjustments seem to hold their position well. Great for vacuuming Venetian blinds, baseboards, furniture, etc.

I added this to my Miele attachments recently & I wish I'd have gotten one last year. Wow, the head swivels so you can really brush clean/dust anything so easily with this. The shape is ideal for getting in areas and around things on display as well. It fits beautifully & is probably going to be the most used accessory of all times in my house. Like I said, expensive but well worth it in terms of use. Love it, love it. Excellent Miele quality of course. Worth every penny.

I liked this right out of the box but I had read through the negative reviews and then watched some videos. If you watch the videos you will know how to easily attach it to the different hoses and connectors on your vacuum cleaner and it won't fall off. And there are two sets of arrows that show you can turn it in different directions in two different places. Just a few minutes of practice to figure that out and you are good to go. I don't anticipate having any problems using this but if I had not found a video that showed how to attach it and turn it I might not have been able to figure that out on my own.

The joints on the Miele SUB20 Universal Brush I received WOULD NOT SWIVEL in any direction—both were fused shut in the straight-line position. Like other reviewers, the fit onto my vacuum was also problematic, requiring brut strength due to poor design, but once connected worked great as long as I set the suction function to “AUTO” or above. I decided to keep the brush since I’d already recycled the packaging (who knew to keep a box for a simple brush—please avoid my mistake). Unfortunately, I didn’t realize it didn’t swivel until the following day when I first used it. Since I didn’t think I could return the brush without the packaging, I decided that keeping a straight-lined brush seemed better than taking a chance on receiving a replacement brush whose joints might keep swiveling out-of-place making it unusable, as other reviewers have warned. I now use the brush successfully for other household tasks (just not atop bookcases which is why I purchased it). Very disappointing.

Vorgeschichte: Auf der Suche nach einer guten Staubsaugerbürste, die sowohl gröbere Aufgaben wie Schränke aussaugen und gleichzeitig grazile Aufgaben wie Fernseher und Laptop absaugen vereinen kann, habe ich mittlerweile mehrere "Billig"-Bürsten probiert und war nie zufrieden bzw. manchmal sogar entsetzt von der Qualität dieser und dem Saugergebnis. Also entschloß ich mich die teuere Miele-Bürste zu kaufen und kann nach mehrmaligem Einsatz schon sagen, dass es sich diesmal gelohnt hat! Produktbeschreibung: Die Bürste hat zwei Gelenke, mit denen somit jede erdenkliche Stellung des Bürstenkopfes erreicht werden kann. In den einzelnen Positionen sind kleine Rastungen zu spüren, welche die Bürste auch bei schnellen Bewegungen in Position halten. Der Langzeittest wird zeigen wie sich hier der Verschleiß der Rasten entwickelt. Der Anschluss ist passend zu allen Miele Staubsaugern und anderen, welche einen 35mm Anschluss haben. Bei Miele kann die Bürste auch direkt auf den Schlauch gesetzt werden, ich selbst benutze sie auf einem Siemens-Staubsauger und kann sie daher nur am Sauggriff ansetzen, wobei dies kein wirklicher Nachteil ist. Der Halt der Bürste am Griffstück ist nicht ganz so streng, aber durchaus stark genug für alle "Saug-Manöver". Die Bürstenhaare selbst sind mittellang und weich genug um ohne Bedenken über Fernseher (Flachbild) und Co. zu saugen. Gleichzeitig sind sie auch hart genug um bspw. einen Regalboden nicht nur zu "streicheln". Von der Form ist die Bürste in den meisten Fällen genau richtig, da man auf Flächen eine breite Seite zum Saugen hat und für kleine Ecken mit der Spitze auch gut arbeiten kann. Die Höhe ist (abhängig vom Griffstück) auch in Ordnung, man kommt in die meisten Lücken problemlos hinein. Der einzige Nachteil der mir bisher aufgefallen ist, ist der, dass die Bürste im Ganzen doch sehr viel Volumen im Vergleich zu anderen hat und die Bürstenhaare auch eine sehr dichte Reihe bilden. Somit ist der Einsatz nur an starken Staubsaugern (ich sauge mit 2400 Watt) zu empfehlen, da "schwächere" Staubsauger nicht mehr genügend Zug aufbringen um den Staub und Schmutz durch die Bürstenhaare ziehen zu können. Fazit: Wer eine Bürste sucht, die von der Verarbeitung sehr gut und den Einsatzmöglichkeiten fast unbegrenzt ist und nicht vor dem Preis zurückschreckt, der liegt bei der Miele-Bürste goldrichtig! Hier hat die Bürste volle 5 Sterne. Allerdings ist ein leistungsstarker Staubsauger Pflicht! Unter 2000 Watt wird das Saugergebnis nicht mehr optimal werden. Also vergebe ich letzlich ein "Gut" und somit 4 Sterne. --- Nachtrag vom 12.01.2012: Da ich die Bürste nun seit etwa 1,5 Jahren im Einsatz habe (ca. 1x pro Woche) kann ich zur Haltbarkeit folgendes sagen: Es ist alles so wie seit dem ersten Auspacken! Wenn man sich die Mühe macht die Bürste mal richtig zu reinigen und von den leichten Kratzer durch Gebrauch absieht, könnte man meinen das Ding wäre neu! Also für Langlebigkeit klare 5 Sterne! PS: Auch wenn's vielleicht so klingen mag: Ich bin KEIN Miele-Vertreter. ;-) --- Nachtrag vom 25.04.2015: Jetzt sind dann beinahe fünf Jahre vergangen. Und das Ding hält trotz regelmäßiger Benutzung immer noch! Gut, die Borsten sind verständlicherweise etwas zerzaust und auch sonst sieht sie nicht mehr neu aus. Aber sie erfüllt ihren Zweck. Und das ist es was zählt!

Fits perfectly to the end of the flexible tube which makes vacuuming dusty bookshelves, electronic items and everything else extremely easy. The bristles are super soft so I'm not afraid to use it anywhere. Plus it's larger than the the brush the vacuum cleaner came with which makes it very versatile.
