If you have a 2013 and up Ram 1500 with the 8HP70 8 Speed automatic transmission, this is what you need! DO NOT LISTEN to your dealer when they say your transmission never needs a service. I am an ASE Certified Master Technician and I have been in the industry for nearly 2 decades. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 'LIFETIME TRANSMISSION FLUID'!!!! It is all oil. It all breaks down over time with heat, and pressure, and those are two things that a smooth shifting automatic transmission like the ZF 8HP70 have in abundance. Did you know that ZF, the manufacturer of the 8HP70 recommends a fluid change interval of 60,000-80,000 kilometers, or 100,000 kilometers under normal driving conditions. Folks, 100,000 kilometers is 62,000 miles give or take a few, and if you have a 2013 or 14, you may be over that already. I have a 2015 and I am right at it. I ordered one of these, and it was a perfect fit. It came with the removeable filter, and the gasket. As far as the fluid, don't mess around, buy the right stuff. My local Ram dealer didn't even want to perform this service. When I told them they would if I wanted them to, the price quote they gave me was ASTRONOMICAL. The Mopar pan and filter is one unit, integrated, you can't replace just the filter. My dealer wants $698.99 for it. For the Mopar ZF 8/9 Speed ATF (Thats the fluid for the transmission), you need 12 quarts or thereabouts to service it properly, they wanted $52 a quart. My total quote out the door was going to be $1,794 and some pennies. Do yourself a favor, buy this, buy the ZF Lifeguard 8 Fluid from here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CJ36ETC/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER and do it in your driveway. If you aren't mechanically inclined, do as I said above and take it to your friendly neighborhood mechanic and have him do it. He will gladly do it for an hour or 2 of labor, and you will be out $500 total for a nearly $1800 service. Whatever you do, don't just not service the transmission. You don't want to rebuild it. The rebuild kit is $4,800, then the labor to pull the transmission, do the rebuild, and reinstall it is about $2500-$3500, depending on where you go.

This fit perfectly on my 2014 Ram 1500 CrewCab Sport. The install was "Mostly" easy. There is one bolt that no one tells you about. Its covered by the exhaust pipe. You will need a very slim or low profile ratchet with swivels. The prodict has a good seal and new bolts. Installed it my self a few months ago and no leaks. It takes slightly less oil then OEM cover. Mine took like 4qts.

Fits perfectly and installation is what it is regardless of filter manufacturer. Cannot speak to the filter element itself and whether it is filtering particulate as well as OEM but the element is not a high-tech material so assume it filters equally well as OEM parts and this is a lot less expensive.

Appears to be a good product. This is a direct replacement of the much more expensive OEM part from ZF. My research indicates this will fit my 2013 ram 1500 laramie 5.7 with 8 speed, specifically from John on the YT channel boosted motorsports. He explained the fluid and pan/filter procedure on his '14 ram, also w/8 speed and gave this part number as direct fit. Will be tackling this job when my ZF fluid arrives.

Great fit

I purchased this for my 2015 Ram Rebel with 8 speed ZF HP70 transmission that Ram says needs no maintenance and has none listed in their maintenance program. This is utter nonsense. Download ZF's replacement instructions, buy this ATP pan with replaceable filter and save yourself $600 to $800 changing the filter and fluid yourself instead of paying someone to do it, if you can find someone to do it. Great product!

Worked well on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited 3.6L. I bought this for the future filter changes because I plan on keeping this car to 200k. I used valvoline max life full synthetic atf for fluid. You will need a t27 Torx socket that the torx bit itself can be hammered out of yo you can use a wrench and the bit itself to get into the tight space around the front four fasteners and two rear fasteners. Also you will need a 10mm Allen and a 13mm for the plastic skid plate. All differentials and tcase plugs are 8mm I change my fluids every 50k^
