We use these to prevent clumping of pedicure salt. Stuck to the inside of the bucket lid, they work perfectly and last just shy of the lifespan of the five gallon bucket of salt. I gave four stars instead of five because the casing closure is slightly less durable than I would like. Once, I tapped it against the side of the bucket to remove salt stuck to it. The case opened and dumped all of the beads into the salt! While the beads did not alter the chemical composition of the salt, they were almost impossible to sift out and were noticed by many clients. Finally, I did not get the opportunity to try to reactivate the silica gel, as I left the salon before it was needed.

Durable, easy to slip into an ammo can or gun case to remove the threat of rust and corrosion... The best part is that when they are saturated with moisture they can be brought back to like new condition by simply baking them in the oven, how cool is that???

They were delivered dry (orange color) but most of the puncture holes were not all the way through. I had to take a needle and manually pop each one open. There are other reviews that say the same, I was hoping it was just a fluke but the machine probably gets dull over time and starts making dimples instead of holes. Luckily the aluminum is soft and thin.
