I'm a journeyman machinist, so maybe more picky than I should be. I can tell you this is a very accurate instrument, if used correctly, that is, don't expect to have an accurate measurement if you push too hard on the caliper when doing OD measurements, or have it at at even a slight angle when measuring a shoulder, or depth. I ran tests on my precision blocks, and 1, 1.5, 2.0 cylinders. It was within .0005-.001 accuracy. I didn't deduct a star but what I didn't like about this caliper is it only went up to 5.940", not 6+ inch range. I had to carefully mark the holding screw at the back, then grind a flat, then reinstall it to allow the caliper body to go back far enough to measure 6+ inches. I can do that but other users may have trouble if they're not machinists used to handling 2mm diameter threaded screws. This caliper doesn't display fractions, like others such as the Qfun seller. Not an issue for me but some may want this capability. But overall it is a nice caliper with all the numbers being large, not just the first couple numbers, then the rest of the reading has small numbers, like some calipers display. Also, the battery is easy to install, when needing replacement (they supply two, one in it, and another when needing replacing). Some calipers require a screwdriver to remove a cover.....deal breaker for me. I like the individual buttons on the front, not under the display face bezel. The dual/trio function calipers that have the on/off/zero are OK but you have to toggle through the button presses to get to what you want to do. So I give this a high mark, almost equal to my Qfun, and Acemeters, and slightly better than my $100+ Mitutoyos. Wait a second....Mitutoyos score lower? Yes. The display on mitutoyos are smaller than these or my other favorites. In odd measurement conditions, you need the largest display possible. Second, mitutoyos never turn off, unless you shut them off. If you forget and leave them on, then you need a new battery. This and my other calipers auto-turn off BUT, they keep the last setting, so you don't lose a reading or if you locked the caliper in place at a certain reading. If it shuts off, you just hit the on button and it'll display the exact reading last entered. Overall a nice unit, well worth the money.

From what I can tell so far, these are pretty good calipers at a great price. Precision seems to be accurate, I even tried moving the slide back and forth very quickly to throw it off track, and it seemed to hold its values perfectly. The calipers themselves are easy to zero, you simply close them, press a button, and you're good to go. What's also nifty about these is that it does have the ability to swap between inches and millimeters on the fly, and you can still get general readings from it even if the battery is dead because of the easy to read scale. Calipers themselves are good quality and everything you would expect from a set, and they come with a very convenient and functional protective case, in addition with a couple of extra batteries, and a screwdriver for battery replacement. The calipers can also be locked into place so the reading doesn't change, and it has a pretty cool auto start feature where if you start moving the calipers open, it will kick on and began giving you readings so you don't have to worry about resetting the claws and turning it on from scratch. All in all, I like this a lot, highly recommended!

I've been getting by with HF digital calipers for years and they've been acceptable, but barely. I have two, and the jaws don't align well, they don't hold a zero, and they go through batteries quickly (mainly it's because the on/off button is real touchy so they turn on accidentally when I put them on the shelf). I tried some 3d printed solutions that switch the power on and off, but with mediocre results. Ok, so I finally got fed up and got these calipers. things I like: the jaws align; the on/off button isn't touchy; the numbers are big and clear; the analog scale is sharp and easy to see; I'm impressed at how repeatable the measurements are; and it resets to zero almost every time. A very slight negative is that the action is not what I'd call silky smooth but just a smidge on the rough side (definitely not enough to take a star off, however). I like this thing - it's a vast improvement over my old calipers.

Do yourself a favor and just order 2.. For the price these are fantastic quality, they have the look and feel of the very expensive calipers. Even comes with extra batteries and a case that isn't near the quality of the calipers but provide reasonable protection. Personally I was blown away when I opened the case and held these because of the weight, look and feel of these, you will be too!

Extremely well made caliper for measuring accurately. I bought it for my watch hobby, and it allows me to get precise measurements of cases, straps, metal bracelets, link pins, and even watch hands and gears if needed. Easy to read digital display. Comes in a sturdy case with cutouts to fit the caliper, spare batteries (included) and even a small screwdriver to open the case for battery swaps. Measures outside, inside, depth, step, and differential lengths. Very well made and at a reasonable price. If you need accurate measurements, you need this.
