Perfect Solution for Mirroring Nvidia Shield - Highly Recommend!
I recently purchased the OREI HDMI Extender UltraHD to mirror my Nvidia Shield from the bedroom to the TV in the living room, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the performance. I used a 30-meter Cat6 Ethernet cable for the setup, and it works flawlessly, even supporting HDR! Pros: Impressive 4K Support: This extender handles full 4K at 60Hz without any issues. The picture quality is crystal clear, and the HDR pass-through is a fantastic bonus. IR Signal Transmission: Although I didn't end up using it, the ability to send an IR signal is a great feature to have. It adds versatility for those who need it. Long Distance Capability: The extender supports up to 50 meters of cable, and my 30-meter setup works perfectly. It's reassuring to know that there's plenty of leeway if I ever need to extend further. EDID Management: The ability to choose which device supplies the EDID information using a switch on the transmitter is very handy. It simplifies the setup process and ensures compatibility. Power Over Ethernet (PoE): Only one of the devices needs to be plugged in, and the power is shared using PoE. This feature reduces cable clutter and makes the setup cleaner and more efficient. Cons: Honestly, there's not much to complain about with this product. The only thing I could think of is that it would be nice if the device had some mounting holes to help keep things tidy. However, this is a minor issue, and you could easily 3D print a case with mounting holes if needed. Really, I’m just nit-picking here. Overall, the OREI HDMI Extender UltraHD is a fantastic product that delivers on its promises. It’s reliable, easy to set up, and provides excellent performance. If you're looking to extend your HDMI signal with full 4K support, this is the way to go. Highly recommend!

Fantastic
I have just installed the OREI UHD-EX165H-K. It only took an hour to install and connect. Although I do have an IP network including Gigabit Switches etc I only needed to extend one display. Therefore, I opted for a direct connection system to save on cost and the need to set up VLAN's etc. The system worked straight out of the box and worked no problems utilising a CAT 6 patch panel and linking two separate two CAT6 cables at the IP network comms cabinet. IR system works faultlessly and extended picture is full 4K. The local loop feature is very handy and saves on additional HDMI splitters. Very happy.

Worked fine for a couple of days, and then broke... twice
I've had two of these devices; each was easy to install, but the transmitter stopped transmitting after a few days. Nothing could bring the device back to life despite checking and replacing cables. Support from the manufacturer was non-existant, although Amazon were good to their word and issued a refund. Such a shame, as the product has good features, and the POC is particularly useful.

Works well
At first view works very well. Looking forward to using it more.

Worked First Time
Was sceptical on whether this would work with my media-wall set-up but it did first time. IR control works well once you work out the best orientation for the transmitter and receiver. Appears well made - time alone will tell !

Perfect!
Was looking for a sender to transmit 4k to the projector which is over 20 m. Perfect, no problems at all. Does what it says on the tin! Quality excellent. Sound excellent. Top tip get a high/fast cat lead.

Plug and play and works a dream
Really simple to set up and works beautifully.. allowed me to remove a load of complexity from my tv setup.

Works when others do not! Sorted all my problems out!
I have had many HDMI-CAT baluns in the past, but always had a problem with the run to my projector and certain sources. It would some times not lock on to a signal and only repeated power cycles of the balun/receiver/projector and source would cure this. I bought this Orei 4K balun and the problem went away instantly! Really like the fact it's powered from one end (either end) which reduces cables. With a discount this was a bargain and 4k@60 Hz 4:4:4 is unheard of at this price. Highly recommend.

I run cables through a void in my ceiling, from an av processor to a 4K projector. With higher bit rate video signals hdmi cables were dropping out, causing handshake issues or not passing full 4k. This product solved the problem. Plus cat 6 called are easier to pull than hdmi.

Came with UK power adapter. I could not set resolution higher than 1080p but I am using cat 5 ethernet cable.

I used this extender for a short 10-meter run between my computer and a monitor located in different room, and it works very well. The unit claims to support distances up to 165 ft, which is far more than I need or am willing to test. I would have preferred something with a shorter range and possibly a lower price, but all the models that support 4K @ 60Hz seem to start at around 100 ft or more. I chose to go with an extender over a fibre HDMI cable because there are a couple of tight bends along the route, and I didn’t want to risk damaging the glass in a fibre cable. There is a very slight compression artifact at all tested resolutions (1080p and 4K). It’s more noticeable when viewing scenes that require high bitrates, like spreadsheets at a high res, but for general movie watching, I doubt most people would notice it. One downside is that this extender does not support the 2560x1440 resolution. My graphics card is currently capped at 4K @ 30Hz so I would have liked to use 1440p @ 60Hz, but since the extender lacks support, I've had to go all the way down to 1080p. All in all, a great unit, and I appreciate the included IR blaster although I have no use it for it right now.
