Sweet game
Another PlayStation2 classic, Spider-Man 2 is one of the greatest games ever. It makes more sense than Spider-Man and is less annoying to web-swing than Spider-Man 3. PROS: - Arrived in about 3-4 days, reliable seller. - Unlike the first Spider-Man game, this one actually shows you what you're swinging from. - Follows the Spidey2 story well while adding twists to make the game more interesting. - Amazing attention to detail in regards to Manhattan, Roosevelt, Liberty and Ellis Islands. - Lots of challenges, hint markers, bonus missions and crimes to prevent boredom after beating the main story. CONS: - Glitchy sometimes when you web-swing too fast. Overall, this is a really fun game and, in my opinion, the best of the 3 Spidey games. The bonus missions (meeting Mary Jane, delivering pizzas, Daily Bugle photoshoots, etc.) are actually pretty fun so don't overlook them. "If you collect all Hint Markers, they all reset but then they say something different". FINAL RATING: 5/5

Does Whatever a Spider Game Can 🕷
What’s to really say here that hasn’t already been! Before the Insomniac collection of the Wall Crawler there was There was the Tie-in of Sam Raimi’s Sequel! Where it’s predecessor had Spider-Man look like a Pinocchio Marionette Spider-Man 2 had more authentic Web Swinging and almost to not mention the Open World of New York! I’ve played it too many times to count! Too bad we can’t get it out Spider-Man 3, Both Movie and Tie In Game! But 2 is still as fun as it gets, even though it’s not aged well for 20 years!

Recommended.
Bought this for my boyfriend as a spontaneous gift. It was the last thing he wanted for the playstation 2 and he could never find it. When I ordered it, I worried about the quality, but I am so glad I made this purchase. Not only for the incredible smile my boyfriend gave me, or how the tears built in his eyes, but the game itself and its condition was phenomenal. I never expected to have the game be in such a good condition, but I received it better off than most of my own games. I very much recommend using this company for ordering, but I also think the game is very well put together. If you like spider man, you should definitely have this game. It does get a little repetitive during missions and such, but it's fun overall.

Spiderman fly around the city to catch bad guys. Once he finds them
Similar to spideman one game, everthing happened in New York, the streets, buildings and traffics are all computer gnerated in actual New York. Spiderman fly around the city to catch bad guys. Once he finds them, he will use his strenghts to fight and catch them in custody with the helps of police. The settings and episodes can be change around. The final boss is Dr. Octopus, spiderman need complete the missions in every episodes with the helps of maps to catch his steps. A good game to keep.

Best Spider-Man of all time? We'll see....
Spider-Man 2: The Game, released in 2004 for the PS2 and XBOX, is definitely a great Spider-Man game. On virtually every "best Spider-Man games of all time" lists, you're bound to see this one somewhere near, or at, the top. While I do think this game was extremely revolutionary for its time, and is still good fun even to this day, I don't think this one quite lives up to the reputation nostalgic fans have given it over the years. I remember playing this back when it released, and the best thing about this game, by far, is the open ended New York City you get to use as Spidey's playground. It's awesome. You have all kinds of moves and tricks at your disposal for traversing the city's skyline, and the sense of speed, sheer variety of motion, sense of momentum, and the visuals for the city itself still hold up wonderfully. Lighted skyscraper windows and buildings as far as the eye can see are still impressive, though the draw distance isn't amazing. Thankfully, the developers hid this flaw to the best of their abilities. When I first played this, I would get so caught up in just exploring the city as Spidey, that I would put off doing missions for as long as possible, and honestly, that's probably the best way to play Spider-Man 2. Graphically, the game just passes as OK. Other than the city itself looking awesome for its time, the character models are all pretty weak. Something about Spider-Man seems off, especially around his head and eyes, and none of the other character models fare much better. It's a shame, as the dynamic lighting on these models looks great. It's just that the models themselves are less than stellar. The game revolves around you partaking in story missions that loosely follow the movie's plot, and the game does a respectable job. The missions themselves are varied and usually interesting, if a bit too easy at times, and in between the main missions, you partake in side missions. From stopping road raging drivers to thwarting off thieves firing at armored cars, the side missions work well, and this is a good thing, since it's essential to do these to progress to the story missions. This is what's known as padding. A vain attempt at lengthening the game by using shallow mechanics and gameplay sections over and over in place of interesting gameplay. The game can be beaten in a measly 6 hours, even without rushing through it. Without the inclusion of the mandatory side missions, this is probably a 3 hour game, at best. Luckily, you'll have so much fun traversing New York and stopping crimes with the relatively good and extensive combat system, that you won't mind much. Some missions do have huge difficulty spikes, however. Particularly one involving some mech suits, and some early Mysterio missions. Which is welcome, though, as most of the game is rather easy. It's actually pretty uneven, when looking at it objectively. The voice work is serviceable and the soundtrack is outstanding. However, the sound effects, particularly those of combat, get far too repetitive. Speaking of which, when it comes to the game's combat, even with an extensive combo list, it also gets repetitive. For later fights in the game, you'll find yourself web blasting enemies since they dodge or block literally anything else, then wail on them for a while, occasionally delivering a pile driver (which absolutely rules) to put them down, rinse and repeat. Again, it's not a bad combat system, it's just repetitive. The boss fights are uneven. The final boss fight of the game is great, and so is the second one with Shocker, but literally every other boss fight just lacks polish to feel well thought out, and the game's bland presentation while in interior sections doesn't help much. The controls were clearly made for swinging around a huge city, and when placed indoors, the movement just doesn't feel right, for some reason. All of this being said, I do think this is a great Spider-Man game. However, I don't think it's the best Spider-Man game of all time like most would have you believe. The sequel to this game, Ultimate Spider-Man, improved on absolutely everything this game had to offer. The combat was better, the boss fights were more memorable and intelligently designed, the art style was, and still is, incredible, the writing is superior, the voice acting was top notch, so on and so forth. I found myself enjoying it far more than I did Spider-Man 2. By all means, this is a great Spidey game, it's just not the perfect, supreme being that most nostalgia colored glasses fans would have you believe. Even games like Shattered Dimensions could be considered far more enjoyable than this, and I think if you want to play a free-roaming Spider-Man game of this style, I absolutely can't recommend Ultimate Spider-Man for PS2 enough. It took what was in this game, polished it, and built upon it to a great degree, and it shows. Spider-Man 2 may be a great game, but it's definitely not the best Spider-Man game of all time. I'd be willing to put Maximum Carnage, Ultimate Spider-Man, Web of Shadows, and Shattered Dimensions above this game any day. Don't get me wrong, though. Spider-Man 2 is absolutely enjoyable as a game. Its lack of polish, shoddy character models, and just passable voice acting, mixed with repetitive combat and far too easy missions padded by repetitive, combat based side missions, make this a passable, yet definitely above average and hugely influential game. I'd be willing to say it's great, even, if solely just for it's awesome web swinging mechanics. It's definitely not the best Spider-Man game of all time, though, and I can't stress that enough. There are better Spidey games out there, and I encourage you to play them. Play it. Enjoy it. Love it, if you want to. Just don't buy into the hype, or you might find yourself sorely disappointed with this one.

Works great only 1 freeze up during the whole game. No big deal considering the age

Thank you so much. This game is awesome and reminds me of my younger days. I've already put in at least 15 hours and I am having a blast. One thing I noticed is there were 1-2 glitches that were in the game that I never had with my original Spiderman 2 ps2 game (that one broke). But it is nothing major, it lasted 2 seconds and hasn't happened again. Must buy if you want to replay Spiderman 2

Still a great game. Loved to play it as a kid, considered to be the best "movie game" of all time. Definitely worth a re-visit. Game came in in better condition than expected as well!
