Great choice
Easy to install and looks fantastic. Great size for mail and packages. Door has magnetic close which is super easy to close but our mail person is still too lazy to close it. I found this to be a lower cost than at the local home improvement stores.

Couldn’t Be Happier with This Mailbox!
I don’t usually leave long reviews, but this mailbox deserves one. The Step2 MailMaster Plus (Black) arrived well-packaged and in perfect condition. Everything was included, and the instructions were clear. I installed it myself in less than an hour on a 4x4 post, made sure to dig it in a bit so it’s sturdier — super easy What I love most is the rear door access. Now I can get the mail without stepping into the street — especially helpful during bad weather. It’s also very durable and weather-resistant. We’ve had blazing sun since installing, and it still looks brand new. The built-in newspaper holder is a great touch too — no more soggy papers in the driveway. It also holds more mail than I expected, including small packages. It’s deep! Looks great, works even better. If you’re looking for a mailbox that’s functional, sturdy, and easy to install, this is the one. ✅ Verified purchase ✅ Easy to install ✅ Weatherproof ✅ Safe rear access ✅ Great curb appeal Highly recommend — 10/10!

Very durable
I personally think this bulbous mailbox looks like something out of The Flintstones, but the wife liked it, so....happy wife, happy life. It is extremely well built and double walled construction. I especially like the "cowl" over the door to keep mail dry. We live in a humid, stormy hurricane area so the durability, all thick plastic construction (no corrosion), and magnetic door are just the ticket. The curved top should also shed rain well. I do kind of wish that the lag bolts were black or there was something to cover the heads, but this is a minor quibble. There are some reviews that complain about the instructions, which kind of shakes my faith in modern society. No instructions are needed, I don't even know if mine came with any. Cut 4x4 to size, stick mailbox post on it, drill pilot holes and screw lag bolts in, screw on back cover with the two short screws, slide mailbox on the rails (might need to spread them a bit), screw on mailbox with the 4 long screws. Done. It is super obvious how it goes together and despite the size and durability it is quite light. Took me about 30 mins. The included stickers are only numbers, so no street name or family name. Just so buyers are aware. Clean the surface before sticking them on. They are also kind of a childlike font in my opinion, but they work. I seem to recall "Step 2" being a manufacturer of home playground stuff when my kids were little, so makes sense. The playground stuff was almost indestructible too. If a kid tried to play "mailbox baseball" with this like they did in the old days they would hurt themselves more than the box. Though my taste is more toward a traditional-looking steel mailbox, I can't deny how practical and sturdy this one is. Probably going to last for many years, and holds way more than our old one. Your mail will be safe in there for sure. We just ordered some weatherproof sea turtle stickers to decorate it so it won't be so plain and will match our coastal decor. 5 stars.

Great quality and easy installation
I ordered this and thought it was a great price and value was awesome. I love how it opens from the back so I don’t have to go on the road to get my mail. I installed it myself. It was very easy to install. Highly recommended.

It's a nice looking, functional mailbox
This is one of the easiest and most attractive mail boxes I've used. It is heavy plastic/vinyl and comes with everything you need to install, except the 4x4 post that is required. If you are replacing a mailbox that uses a 4x4 post ( assuming you have the existing box in the correct position to meet USPS requirements), all you will have to do is cut the post to the height of the inside sleeve of the mailbox post. (The new mailbox's post is shaped to allow it to fit over a 4x4 - similar to an "H" shape when viewed as a cross section.) Two lag screws come with the kit. These screw in from the front. The heads are exposed and are shiny metal, so they show readily. If that bothers you, a simple dress-up would be a dab of matching paint on them. Same is true for the other screws that are used to assemble the mailbox. The kit comes with a cover that screws onto the 4x4 when viewed from the back. This hides the 4x4 from the back, but edges still show. Again, if that bothers you, you can paint the 4x4 edges before screwing the cover to the wood post. This is a very reasonably priced mailbox, and if you already have a wood post in place, you only have to cut it to a height of about 2 feet from the ground. It takes about 15 - 30 minutes to install this once the post is in place. I used a reciprocating saw to cut my old 4x4, then a socket set to install the two lag screws and a battery powered drill/driver to put in the screws. (The socket wrench will need to be able to reach the screw heads. I used an extension to the wrench and a socket. Using hand tools will be more difficult and take more time. This is not an "estate" mailbox. It's a nice looking, functional mailbox. I would not call it fancy by any means, but it looks a lot better than a metal box set on a metal pole or a wood cross-shaped post. The part I like best is the open-from-the-rear feature. There are doors in the back that allows you to open and retrieve your mail and/or newspapers (lower compartment) while standing away from the traffic side of the box. Where I live, this is a big safety feature, as I lose about one mailbox every year or so. The mail part of the box (front and back) stay shut using magnets. I like that feature much better than boxes than use a pressure fir to keep doors closed. I would have given this 5 stars, but I thought a few features like screws with matching color heads, lag bolts with plastic head covers of matching colors would have made a nicer looking finished install. These shouldn't add too much to the cost of manufacturing and would make the mailbox a look better. Also, the newspaper door on the rear side (front of newspaper bin is open) doesn't fit well and sometimes hits against the mailbox structure. That parts looks a little on the poorly built side. Other than those small downside items, I really like this mailbox because it's nice, easy to install and a good buy. I would and have recommended this mailbox to friends.

I bought this mailbox to replace the one I had for over 20 years. At first I was worried that as a woman it would be hard to install by myself. But it was quite simple. I bought a 4" x 4" at the hardware store (had them cut it for me). Bought a bag of ready made cement and mixed with water. The longest process was to dig the hole. The mailbox was very easy to put together with a screwdriver and a socket wrench. It seems very sturdy and has plenty of room inside for small boxes. This was a great purchase.

This is probably the best brand of mailbox out there. Well made. Doesn't fade much if any. We didn't even put it out yet (but my parents have one for years and it's fine) and the wife received a little package in it if ya know what I mean ;). Go with this brand. It won't disappoint.

J'avais déjà une boîte aux lettres semblable depuis près de 15 ans mais la souffleuse l'a avalée cet hiver. J'ai racheté le même modèle car je l'aimais beaucoup.
