Bought this car reader because I like to be able to diagnose my cars when check engine light comes on. I have a bigger one that I keep at the house but this was is nice because it’s small compact and I’m able to keep it right in the car. It’s super easy to operate just pretty much plug and play. You don’t have to install any apps or download any software for reading/clearing your codes. Picked up the codes quickly which is nice. I had an evap issue in one of my cars so it was nice that it has the feature to test for Evap leaks and it read the codes with no issues. I used the big one to make sure that it read the same codes and it did. I like that the wire is durable and long enough that I can sit in the car and read the codes. It’s definitely qood quality, durable and built to last.

This is a great product to have for anybody who drives a vehicle. No before you go, plug your vehicle in and read the codes before you go and have work done on it. No reason for surprises with this such a great purchase and what a great value

does what most entry level readers do, but this is about the most affordable. Download of initial data a bit slow, but the functions after that are fine. I have used the data stream mode to trouble shoot overheating issues with two separate cars. Gave it just 4 stars only because of the slow initial data load.

For the price, this was a great deal. It's also incredibly easy to use. 3 stars because it didn't find the second code. I went to AutoZone to have my check engine light code read and the guy told me my Toyota was reading as a Audi.. He gave me a code to google and it just didn't seem right. I figured he was doing something wrong and it would be nice to have one of these on hand for this issue and future issues as my car is getting older. When I tested with this, it pulled up a code that made much more sense, although it said the reader didn't have information on the code it was easy enough to google it. I went to a different AutoZone (this one was much better!) to try to get a confirmed reading of the code, just to make sure this thing worked. AutoZone did pull up the same code as this reader! However, there was a secondary code that AutoZone received that this OBD2 did not. Overall, I do still plan to keep this as it read the main issue and I won't use it in replace of a professional code reader.

Great peice to have. Never know when you will need it. It's super convenient.

Mucar CDL20 OBD Reader Was delivered on time, but my device is set to a foreign language. I can't find anywhere to set it to English. I will have to return it. Okay now, with a little support I was able to set this one to English. Now I can read it and operate it. This unit functions to support operations.
