I ordered 4 of these locks for an upcoming trip. While setting one of the locks the tumblers slipped, and now I cannot re-open or reset the lock. What a disappointment.

I do a little lock picking as a hobby. I am not good at it whatsoever. This lock is so easily defeated I chose not to use it on my last work trip. I know TSA locks are a joke in general, but I feel like the way I used to pick this lock would lead to it coming undone by a bag coming in contact with anything hard at the right angle. I am sure since this is a popular choice that the reliability shouldn't be an issue, but I don't feel comfortable using it. It is larger than my other TSA lock, but still a nice size. Setting the combo and general use is easy.

Bought directly from Osprey. As everyone else has said, difficult to set, difficult to lock once you do manage to get it set. Had to use a small screwdriver to press reset, pen would not work. Then, when trying to test it on an Osprey Transporter 90, discovered that the cable wasn’t long enough to reach the lock port on the bottom of the lock. Yes, you read that right. Osprey’ lock would not fit on Osprey’s luggage.

Received this lock yesterday and after many attempts to make the lock work, it failed! The cable insert would not go into the female receptacle on the lock at any setting. I followed the instructions completely and could not get the lock to work. I ordered the lock from another company and they are sending a replacement but after my experience I would not use the lock on a trip. The other negative reviews confirm my experience. Do not waste your money.

We had so much trouble with this lock. I've owned similar locks without issue. It seems like EVERY aspect of this lock was a total pain. Getting it unlocked was hard. Getting the cable to be resecured was hard. And then once we changed the lock to our new code, it doesn't work at all. You have to press a pen firmly into the rest button with one hand while spinning the dials and holding the lock with the other. My guess is my pen stopped depressing enough at some point while spinning the dials, and a different code got set. We will never know what that was. Straight in the trash.

I love these locks. I backpacked across Europe and these were perfect for hostels and locking up my bag. My favourite part about them is how light weight they are compared to most cable locks. Definitely recommend if you want a lightweight lock.

After putting in my own secret number, I tested it a few times. Worked ok. I’ve closed my backpack/suitcase from Osprey. When I arrived at my destination, I couldn’t open it anymore! Then I had to brake it and it broke very easily. I’ll close it next time with a cable tie, much cheaper and also easily to losen.
