Good quality protein
Tasteless, no funky smell. Mixed well with yogurt. The package says the protein is from the grass fed, antibiotic and hormone free cattle. I also liked that it has a large scoop, delivering 32g of protein.

Undrinkable
This is hands down the worst protein powder I’ve ever bought. It doesn’t mix at all. Whether you use a spoon, a fork, or even a full-on blender bottle, it turns into a foamy, chunky mess with a gross film on top. The photos I posted are from stirring, but don’t think using a blender bottle will help — it just creates a thick, undrinkable sludge that’s even worse. I’ve tried dozens of protein powders and never had one this unusable. Total waste of money.

Almost Perfect Dairy Free Protein Powder
(this is for the Chocolate Fudge Brownie flavour - I have not tried others) The people on here complaining about the flavour have clearly not experimented too much with non-dairy protein powders. I have tried SO many different protein powders. I have followed a vegan diet in the past and used many different vegan powders, and I have also been a competitive bodybuilder and used many different kinds of whey and casein powders. This is, hands down, the best *non-dairy* protein powder I have used - both texturally and flavour. Like a previous review said - if you are looking for this to essentially taste like a child's milkshake, then you wont be pleased (but bear in mind all the things that make it taste that great are probably not great for you). This protein powder tastes good. You're not going to write home about it, but it IS good. And it mixes beautifully, and has a smooth texture (unlike every horrible vegan protein powder out there). But the best part is that it does not upset my stomach. I have a very sensitive stomach and currently have to follow a carnivore diet because of it, and this protein powder is seriously a miracle for me. I have also heard great things about the customization options that this brand has through their website, but I have yet to check that out. Will definitely be ordering the 5lb bag! I merely say it's not perfect only because I'm not a huge fan of stevia or sunflower lecithan, but I also understand that sometimes options are limited when you are creating specialty items, and based on my stomach's reactions I would say those ingredients are minimal.

Happy with it
Seems like great protein powder. Meat based. I notice I'm only motivated to use it when I'm exercising to the point of real muscle burn. My body seems to bring it into my mind at such moments. There is a slight taste of burned meat, but that sounds much worse than it really is. I use other items, they cover it, and if not, I add a bit of hot chocolate mix. I don't have the sense that bit of funny flavor is harmful. But you can decide for yourself.

Tastes good but not perfect
I recently tried True Nutrition’s Beef Protein Powder, and while I wanted to like it, I ran into a couple of issues. First, it has a kind of sticky texture and doesn’t blend very well, even with a shaker bottle. It leaves some clumps that are hard to get rid of. Also, I was hoping for something cleaner since it’s a beef protein, but there are a few added chemicals in the ingredient list that don’t sit well with me. For a product that’s marketed as a cleaner protein source, I was expecting something a bit more natural. It’s not terrible, but I probably won’t be buying it again.

Use it in hot beverages and blend with an immersion blender
I don’t usually review products but felt compelled to share some positive feedback because this product is has been a life saver for me. I have some autoimmune issues and have been on the Autoimmune Anti Inflammatory Protocol (AIP) for the past 4 years. I’ve found workarounds for a lot of “traditional” foods but protein was a challenge. Collagen protein only takes you so far. As another reviewer mentioned - it’s important to have the right expectations; while it doesn’t taste like beef, it is definitely more hearty. Yes you can blend it in soups but I honestly think any hot drink application will suit this product very well. My personal favorite: 1 scoop protein 16oz hot water 1 teaspoon matcha powder 1 teaspoon thyme honey A pinch of salt to round everything out BLEND WITH IMMERSION BLENDER Froths up really nice and tastes just like a matcha latte :) I also have had no issues with digestion/upset stomach and I’m usually prone to those because of my autoimmune issues. If you’re on the fence please do give it a shot.

Might not be suitable for people with diabetes
If you make a smoothie with fruit & less than a full portion, then you might actually enjoy this powder. However, one whole serving is way too sweet. I get sweet tooth’s, I eat sweets without a problem. This is a different kind of sweet… I was visiting my grandmother (68 y/o) and I complained that the shake tasted way sweeter now that I used a full serving. My grandma, who is pre-diabetic, had a sip of this shake (one scoop of protein with half Kirkland skim milk half water) and she said that this was crazy sweet and should check my sugar levels if I consumed the entire glass and that I should warn others than this might be something to look out for or consider, even if you aren’t diabetic. My grandmother has sweets in moderation and lives a normal life, is healthy weight, maintains good levels for a someone with her condition, so I wanted to write this review in case this helps someone tread lightly when starting or simply make them aware.

My review is from a post-bariatric surgery perspective not body building etc. So, firstly, I bought it for $60AUD, which isn't great, but isn't terrible from a price perspective. Most protein supplements targeted at bariatric patients here range from $40-80AUD so it's about average in that regard. Flavour-wise, unflavoured obviously doesn't mean *no* flavour, it has a distinct savoury smell and taste to it. At the standard 1x scoop serving size, you WILL taste it in sweet drinks. It has a very faint flavour of rancid beef marrow about it. But the scoop is quite large, so it's more than reasonable for those who have had bariatric surgery (thus restricted portion sizes), to cut the serving in half. 16g of protein is still a good amount when you're mixing it into small 1/4-1/2 cup servings. Is barely noticeable (if at all) in a half serving size mixed into savoury drinks. Obviously a beef broth will disguise it the best. But works in chicken broth, vegetable soups etc. It's worth buying IMO, because it is a far better source of protein than collagen based supplements, but whey-based tend to be cheaper and less distinct in flavour compared to this one.
