Optimate 7 Select, TM-251, 9-Step 12V 10A Sealed Battery Saving Charger & maintainer

As a heavy diesel mechanic I have used many different chargers over the years. I was originally brought into this product but a coworker but was skeptical at first. But I will have to say that this charger is a game changer! It can and will bring a battery that’s been sitting for over a year back to life with little to no effort. I have had battery’s that had under 2 volts come back to life and continue being used. The charger will also tell you if the battery has bad cell and won’t take a charge so you don’t need to waste time trying to figure out the situation. If you need a multifunction charger I highly recommend this one.

These are the best chargers I've found so far for AGM batteries. I have two large AGM Lifeline batteries for my RV and placed two of these chargers (one each battery) to maintain the batteries indefinitely. They have work well so far both charging the batteries and maintaining them. Highly recommended.

Have only had it in my hands for a few days now. Been working on trying to recover two AGM batteries. It is working at it.

Have 2 of them - One unit blew after 4 straight week of full time use wheel I waited for my outback inverters charging circuit to be repaired, and the replacement has worked fine for a few years now. Being a huge fan of the optimate 6 but wanting more power, I expected the 7 to be a slightly larger versions with wider specs and similar operation but the logic operates differently than the 6. This unit has so far charged to the correct voltages on both standard and AGM banks but on smaller car sized batteries the unit spends a lot of time in the save mode before popping to a green fully charged indication. The optimate 6 gets to the same place in under 3 minutes.

One unit DOA is a fluke. Two units DOA in a row is indicative of some serious QA issues. Both the original unit I received and the replacement are completely non-operational right out of the box: plug it into a verified live outlet - no lights ever come on, not even a green light indicating AC power. The unit never turns on, much less charge my motorcycle battery. I'm going to be returning the second one and going with a competitor's product.
