I was very skeptical that this product would be sufficient to hold the battery in place without it shifting to the left, right or braking off entirely. I used to use metal hose clamps all the way around the top bar of the bike, having the battery dangle under it which held things in place very firmly. This product, I would say, works just as well (I'm using both the screw mount AND the hose clamps with rubber cover) and looks 10x better. Would recommend.

I’m not sure why you’re even reading a review. This thing is amazing. You need it in your life.I’ve been a bicycle mechanic for more than 25 years. I’ve been messing around with electric bikes for around five years now. This is by far the absolute best addition to any electric bike that uses a water bottle style bolt on frame out. Or if your frame has no water bottle style mounts.I am using this on a surly karate monkey with a 52 V 17.5 hour shark pack. Mounting this to the bike with just the mount it came with is not secure it wobbles and is not in steel high confidence. The bike I’m using it on actually has three water bottle bolt mounting holes, so I was actually able to mount this using all three bolts and did not have to utilize the band clamps. However, if you need them, they are there and will make the install insanely secure. Or the really nice part. If you don’t have suitable mounting locations, these band clamps will offer you an ultra secure mount for your electric bike battery pack.Seriously why are you still reading?
