TLDR: Not actually tangle free, but still so much more convenient than 2 leashes. 100% worth the money if you have small dogs. Mine lasted 3 years of beagle abuse, and I'm buying another today. I've had mine for just under 3 years, used for my beagles (15-20 lbs). It's definitely not tangle free. It's actually a pretty active process of twisting the handle to keep the tangles out. Despite that, it makes my life so much easier from having to take two separate leashes. I'm able to hold one handle and control both lines all while still giving my dogs plenty of room to sniff. In terms of durability, it finally broke (50%) yesterday. The rubber coating on the handle started to wear down and fall off over time, but that's not a big deal for me. After 3 years of my menace dog sprinting full force and the line catching at the end of its length, it finally broke the locking mechanism, but only on her side. It did not snap, it's just the locking mechanism. It still works as a retractable leash, I just can't lock her in place anymore. The other side still works perfectly. I would say 3 years of abuse for $35 is a pretty great deal. Definitely recommend if you have two smaller dogs.

I have always used the retractable leashes because they allow me to remain on the sidewalks while giving my dogs free range to move around and this one is allowing for both my dogs to do so for each of their own pace and direction. I love that it is made so they don't tangle up & if it doesn't untangle on its own, it allows me to do so simply by manually turning the ball that controls it. I love the colors that glow in the dark and that allows for me to know which dog to control. I love that its only 10ft instead of 16ft since I have small dogs. My dogs like walking together but sometimes one wants to take lead and or go different ways. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't retract fully back into the handle after use and that when fully pulled out the line is thin cause damage to the body if the dogs wrap it around them or you. The part that you see is not what comes out, It is easy to get them to walk around me and go the same way. I have to change them over and over as none last long, but I will reorder these because I like having only one handed to manage as I walk. LOVE THIS!!!

So far, super disappointing. I have already tried the other 2 dual leach retractable leashes out there and they were terrible so I really had high hopes for this one. As explained on my video, 1- the first thing was that it arrived already not working, so didn't even make it to its first walk on day one (arrived this morning) . The grey buttons do not work at all. 2- the buttons are backwards. Why?!?! Why do the first buttons close to your hands lock, this makes ZERO sense. It means that instead of just stopping you notmally do and breaking (stop and go) you have to lock and unlock every time., Its horrible idea and can understand why they find the need to try to reinvent the wheel. Which brings me to No 3. 3- You have to have VERY LARGE hands, the buttons are far away from the natural position of the grip they made, if you add on top of that - that the unlock/break button is even further up its terrible for anyone without super long fingers (see video) OR ARTHRITIS! So fun fact - 50% of Americans have hand arthritis, I am one of them with early onset at age 43. So if you are part of 50% of the world you are going to STRUGGLE fiercely (very painful) trying to maneuver, stretch and hit the far and hard buttons to unlock EVERY time you want to just brief-break, JUST from my 3 min video review my hands hurt a lot. - If of the 50% of people that have hand arthritis you have it in your thumb, run like wind. It's so painful. And this is NOT something you just have to learn or get use to like on any new invention. I will be giving it a shot by exchanging instead of returning in hopes that my set of buttons is just defective (maybe even turned upside down?) and see if when I'm actually able to use it and take it on a walk, the trying to maneuver so far up works for me. Not sure if the buttons are softer (and WORKING) if maybe it wont be such a struggle to hit the buttons. We walk on a trail path where other dogs pass by so you need to stop and reel them in a lot to let others pass, I'm not seeing how this auto-lock every time and unlock is practical at ALL but I hope mine is defective and I can come back and give them a 4 star, but its a lot of bad designing and not very well thought through execution in my vast experience with retractable leashes. I really wish when companies decide to design a product they do so with an industrial designer and a study, this one certainly did not.

Pros: This leash is actually great, functionally it works, it makes hiking with my dogs much easier, they are both sniffers and this gives some flexibility to sniff without being on top of each other and getting all tangled. I have a young dog and an old man, having some space is good for them. Cons: It does promote bad behavior in dogs, my dogs are all over the place when they're on this thing. I would never use this in a crowded area or taking them to the vet. You have less control of your dogs. For my situation it's for hiking rocky terrain and I don't fall from being pulled. I do not recommend this if you're trying to train or instill good behavior with your dogs. -The pictures don't show this, but once the retractable leash is extended about 2 feet, it turns into a shoelace type material. I thought the entire retractable leash was the orange and green material/thickness. It's not. I included a picture to show what I mean. This is definitely not a heavy duty leash, even a small dog could pull this and break it. I don't see it lasting long. Overall I returned it, I used it once, it was great, but know it's only a matter of time before it breaks. I think this is good for older/low energy dogs. I wish it could work for me!

Ich habe die Leine bestellt für unsere zwei Malteser/Yorkie-Mischlinge, und hab lange gezögert, weil ja steht, sie sei für grosse Hunde geeignet. War unsicher ob die Karabinier ev zu schwer sind. War sehr überrascht, die Leine ist super für unsere Leichtgewichte. Für grosse Hunde wrde ich sie aber auf keinen Fall empfehlen, dafür scheint sie mir nicht robust genug.

I was getting really annoyed at our 2 dogs tangling their leashes together on our walks and was daydreaming about something like this being created and lo and behold, someone already made it! It is really easy to use and made walking our dogs SO much easier and enjoyable. One of our dogs wants more freedom than the other too, so I love that the locking mechanisms are separate. I will be honest though, 2 of them broke on us within 1-2 months. BUT, their return/exchange policy is great and I like it so much that I did end up just exchanging for a new one because I wanted to continue to use it despite it breaking. Also the break is just that the locking mechanism on one broke, so there wasn't any worries with a dog escaping or anything like that. Our 3rd one has lasted us a long time, so I would recommend this to anyone with 2 dogs to walk at the same time. We did also end up trying the one with the grippy soft handle and the one without and personally prefer to non-grippy handle because the grippy handle started to feel sticky/dirty after a while.
