There's an online vendor who sells only hot sauce. He sells probably 100 varieties or more from all over the world. For that guy, and for me, the best hot sauce we know is this hot sauce. Marie Sharp is on the table of every restaurant in Belize the way we have Heinz ketchup on our tables and Costa Rica has lizano. For me this is the perfect amount of heat and it's just bursting with flavor. It's not about the heat, for me, it's about the flavor. It is so versatile, I'll put it in almost every variety of food from Thai to Chinese to Italian to Mexican to Indian. It's that universally spectacularly wonderful.

🌶️ Marie Sharp’s Mild Habanero Pepper Sauce – Flavor First, Fire Second Marie Sharp’s Mild Habanero Pepper Sauce is proof that you don’t need blistering heat to make a hot sauce memorable. Crafted in Belize with fresh red habanero peppers and carrots, this sauce offers a unique blend of earthy sweetness, citrus tang, and just enough spice to keep things interesting. --- 👅 Flavor Profile - Ingredients: Red habanero peppers, fresh carrots, onions, key lime juice, vinegar, garlic, and salt. - Taste: Sweet from the carrots, tangy from the lime and vinegar, with a subtle heat that builds gently. - Aroma: Vinegar-forward with hints of carrot and citrus. The carrot-habanero combo is surprisingly addictive, offering depth and balance. It’s not just a condiment—it’s a flavor enhancer. --- 🔥 Heat Level - Spice: Mild, but noticeable. - Ideal for those who want a touch of heat without overwhelming their palate. You can use it liberally on burritos, eggs, pizza, or mac and cheese without fear of burning out your taste buds. --- 🧂 Usability & Versatility - Works beautifully as a table sauce. - Pairs well with a wide range of cuisines—from Latin American to comfort food. - Because it’s mild, you can use more of it for flavor layering. --- 🧠 Final Verdict Marie Sharp’s Mild Habanero Pepper Sauce is a standout for those who appreciate flavor over fire. It’s versatile, well-balanced, and made with fresh ingredients that shine through. If you’re new to hot sauces or just want something you can enjoy daily, this one’s a pantry essential.

I have had my fair share of hot sauces. This one (besides my homemade hot sauce) is the best one I have ever had! It's got a good kick of heat while still having such a full flavor. You also have a bit of sweetness from the carrot. If you buy this you won't regret it. My only quip is that it's expensive. But it still tastes excellent.

The flavor is so good. I've tried a lot of hot sauces, and I haven't found anything that compares to this. If you want hot sauce that really tastes good, not just hot sauce that serves as a carrier for heat, this is for you. In my experience, these 4 maria sharp's hot sauces are all the same excellent flavor, but with different levels of heat. Here is how hot I rate them as of 2014 (2015/2016 orders have been less spicy, see bottom paragraph for details): **Maria sharp's habanero hot sauce MILD - very mild heat. I had trouble detecting it, but my more sensitive friends said they could feel it. **Maria sharp's habanero hot sauce HOT - Hot. slightly hotter than tapatio. I highly recommend this level to most people. It's a good level of heat for people who want some heat in their food. **Maria sharp's habanero hot sauce FIERY - my favorite level of heat. About as hot as black label (extra hot) valentina hot sauce. Don't order this unless you've actively sought spicy hot sauces. **Maria sharp's habanero hot sauce BEWARE - I'm pretty resilient to spice, but this was too much for me. I could only put 3-4 drops on a bite, and even that was making me all sweaty and uncomfortable. I only recommend this for people who eat habaneros and feel like they aren't too bad. If you're *just* looking for really spicy hot sauces, you could get this, but honestly, you're wasting your money. There are hotter hot sauces than this out there. They don't taste as good, but they are cheaper. The other Marie Sharp's varieties I really didn't like as much. They are definitely quality hot sauces, but when you get the sampler pack and try these 4, it's hard to justify ordering the other ones. There's definitely some batch to batch variation in the eat, and either I've gotten a few weak batches recently (late 2015- mid 2016), or they've taken "fiery" and "beware" down one step on my list. The last "fiery" batch I ordered was on par with Tapatio in terms of heat, so I've been happily ordering "beware" more recently, though the batches I've had don't really deserve the "beware" that's printed on the label. I haven't ordered "hot", so I don't know if it's weaker, too. Even with the variation in heat, I can't rate this stuff any less than 5 star because it's so delicious.
