Great quality vest for the money!! 5 stars
This is a really nice vest this is a 3X I am 5'11 and I weigh 285 lbs in this vest is perfect to wear over plenty of clothes and still have plenty of range of motion and have lots of storage pockets and be able to hold 16 shells in the shell holders alone along with a cell phone pocket and an easy reach-around blood proof bird pocket also it has slight padding in the shoulders which works great with the game hide shirt and the color is beautiful and the material seems very durable The only thing I would change is to try and make the inside pocket a zipper pocket instead of the velcro besides that I give it a five star rating and a wood recommend to every person looking for a upland vest without having to pay an arm or leg for one

Good quality should last years in the field
Very fast shipping. The vest is exactly what I hoped for. Size is true and quality of the vest overall is great. A bit more blaze orange on the shoulders would be better but my estimate is the amount just meets our state regulated 50%. Would recommend to anyone looking for an upland game vest

Excellent game vest
This is a durable, well constructed vest. The canvas material is old-school tough, and while it’s not going to win the local fashion show with the blaze orange, I must say the dark brown is a very nice color and would actually make a nice light jacket. The pockets are zippered, generously sized and easy to access game pocket. I especially like that the bottoms of the shotgun shell pouches are sewn closed, so shells are held in by the stretchy naterj, but they won’t fall out of the bottom either, and with the flap too, they’re secure without being difficult to access. I shoot a .410 for squirrels and rabbits, and two shells per pouch will work just fine. This is not true of the simpler designs you see on some vests with just a 1” strip of stretch material sewn in with openings on both ends. I’m 200lbs and the XL seems perfect for colder days over a jacket, or just over a long sleeve shirt too. It’s a hunting vest, not a tuxedo vest, and it fits like one.

Nice roomy vest. A bit heavy
I needed a upland vest for some upcoming pheasant hunts. I took a chance and ordered this. Received the item quickly (prime). I wore it today 2/27/18 on a 3 hour pheasant hunt. Nice fit feels good. Just a bit heavy. Which is why I give it 4 stars not 5. I would say this is a good cold weather vest. The material is thick. I can see this lasting a while. I like the shell holders. They're at the bottom of both pockets. 8 per side. I had 2 3/4 12g shells in them and they fit nicely. The pockets in this are huge. I had a 32oz Gatorade bottle in one pocket and still had room. The bird pouch is nice and roomy. You can access it from the front or the side. Which is good. It's definitely blood proof. I had 4 pheasant and now leakage. Probably could've got another 2 in. Overall a good vest for the money. I would recommend it. Just its a little heavier than some people might like.

Just buy it
In a world of overpriced hunting equipment that only yuppies smoking pipes and wearing tweed jackets can afford, you can always count on Gamehide to produce an affordable quality hunting vest. It has everything you need when it comes to putting a few critters on the table. Of course the main feature of any small game vest is the game pouch on the back. This vest will hold a daily limit of squirrels, grouse, rabbits or whatever else you want to drop in the crockpot. It has just enough blaze orange to keep you safe without looking like a newbie in a pumpkin suit bumbling around the woods. Plenty of loops for ammo and enough room in the pockets for everything a man needs in the woods like a can of chew, roll of toilet paper, bag of jerky and a couple PB&J sammiches to fuel a full day of busting brush and poppin God’s creatures with your grandpa’s old scatter gun. The material is good quality and durable, not covered in wax like an overpriced LL Bean garment. Let’s face it... the type of fellas that buy that stuff don’t step outside the cabin when it’s raining anyhow right? Nope, this is the real deal. The working man’s hunting vest that’ll last you a lifetime unless you get fat like I did. I still got 20 years out of the last one before I outgrew it. I recommend buying a size or two bigger if ya plan on wearing it over a coat or if ya like eating biscuits and gravy every morning after you turn 40. So order this vest and it’ll give ya a warm fuzzy feeling when ya see it hanging in the closet during the off-season. Then when the leaves change color and the call of the wild tugs at your primal instincts, throw it on and kill your dinner like a real man. My last piece of advice is never go in the woods without fire and a compass (a real one, not a cheapo pin-on or your dang cell phone that’s gonna die) or you’ll be eating acorn pie and having carnal relations with the forest creatures until one of your woods savvy buddies comes and bails ya out. Then you’ll get a nickname like “dumb bass”, I had to spell it that way so Amazon wouldn’t censor it. Happy hunting!

Pleased with it
I bought this for dove hunting and I've been happy with it. The material feels thick and sturdy, and I haven't had it rip or tear despite stumbling through some thick brush in it. It has a bunch of big pockets, so I had no trouble carrying around everything I needed. If you want to cool off on a hot day, you can fit a frozen 2 liter bottle in the "game pouch" on the back. Shell holders held 12 gauge shells tight with no movement. I wasn't constantly loading and unloading them so I can't comment on long term elasticity. For being as cheap in price as it is, the look and the finish don't give the impression of cheapness. The hunter orange is bright and easily visible. I sometimes wear this when working outside because it gives me more pockets without overheating me.
