I purchased the E.L.F. Putty Bronzer, Creamy & Highly Pigmented Formula in Honey Drip. I was looking for a product that would add a nice bronze tone to my face without looking cakey and thick. I’ve purchased E.L.F. products in the past and was always pleased so this bronzer appealed to me, and the price was good. The description states “Putty to Powder Finish”. To me “powder finish” implies a somewhat cakey look and I didn’t experience that. The color is deep and applies smoothly with a creamy feel and my skin felt soft and smooth and silky. I liked that it could be applied with a finger or a brush. My preferred method is to use a flat brush and build the color for a deeper bronze appearance. I also experienced more control when using it for contouring. The bronzer has a slight glow, but I only noticed it in a brighter environment. For me there is added moisture which is needed in an arid climate. I also noticed that the color lasted throughout the day. However, I haven’t worn the product on occasions when I was out in the rain or snow for any length of time and with that said, I can’t attest to the product being long lasting in these conditions. So just something to think about. Overall, I’m very pleased with the bronzer. It applies easily, is creamy and I’m able to build it to the color that works for me, and the price is good. It’s versatile in that it can be a bronzer or used for contouring. I highly recommend this product.

This product dried out after about 1 month. There is also a werid smell. Did not cause me to break out. For the price, this is a good bronzer. The color is perfect and it is easy to blend.

This is a fantastic color if you need a truly cool toned bronzer. It comes off very gray in the pot, but if you need cool, it looks very natural on the skin. The ease of use is not great, to get real color onto a brush, you had to use a lot product. With fingers or a sponge, application was less controlled

I purchased Luminous Putty Bronzer in 'Vacay Mood' and Putty Bronzer in 'Feelin' Shady' they are the same color except the 'Luminous Putty Bronzer has a slight sheen. The review for each is the same. This is a smooth sheer cool grayish beige cream. This works well as a contour as its the same color as the shadow cast on the skin, which is what contouring tries to recreate. I also use this as a color toner for my face. Just as a purple shampoo is used to neutralize the brassy orange tones in blonde hair, I use this to cool down blush, eyeshadow and lipstick that looks too orange on my skin and I only use my fingers. Used alone as a bronzer this is too gray and will make you look like a black and white photograph of yourself. You still need blush and lip color with this. Overall this is a useful product that gets me using colors I already bought but sit unused (which is a waste of money). Buy one shade or the other, you don't need both.

I had high hopes for this but it’s terrible. Goes on terrible. No pigment. Goes on patchy. Even using a beauty blender and several different brushes
