PowerA Wired Controller for Xbox Series X|S - Black, gamepad, wired video game controller, gaming controller, works with Xbox One and Windows 10/11

Hold down the xbox button for a few seconds. I thought the controller wasn't working. I heard the controller connecting when plugging it in but then nothing worked. Works fine now. These are great controllers. People mention how light they are, but I look at that as a plus. Just don't go throwing them against the wall.

Update: Eight months later and still no stick drift or bad cables. - I bought some of these to replace my Microsoft and PDP controllers which were complete junk. The Microsoft Xbox One controller lasted about three months before stick drift took over and made it unusable. My old Xbox 360 controllers could have survived a nuclear apocalypse. A complete waste of $70. The PDP still works but they have a serious flaw when it comes to the USB cord becoming disconnected at the controller side and eventually not working any longer. This happened with all three I own. The PDP also comes with a shorter cord. While they are much cheaper at $25, it's still a waste. The PowerA doesn't feel as premium as the Microsoft controller but it does have the same length cord and hopefully, doesn't suffer from stick drift so early on or port disconnection issues like the PDP. Only time will tell and I will update my review accordingly. Made in China

It's weight is good all the buttons feel quality and have very sturdy and audible clicks when pressed down. I've been a gamer for 30 years and I know what a good controller feels like. This is it. It's surprising for its price for how good it feels. It's lightweight yet sturdy, tho I wouldnt drop it or throw it. The bumper and triggers are very solid and even though the triggers are curved they are very smooth and I could see them slipping from a finger press too light. The Analog sticks feel great and dont seem to have any drift issues. The edges of the analog sticks have anti friction material that feels gritty to prevent the analogs from sliding or slipping if you get sweaty hands. The cord is very long and can easily reach across a small room. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack for headsets. Obviously designed for Xbox consoles but I dont have any. I bought it for my PC. I've played Armored Core 6 and this controller made my experience a blast, I destroyed AC 6 with this controller. Other games Ive used it for on my PC include rouge like games, FPS games, action games and open world RPGs. As a longtime Playstation customer who has every PS console and prefers the PS controller. . . .this controller is fantastic. If you are looking for a good affordable controller for your PC, THIS is it. I HIGHLY recommend it. Of course Xbox players would like it as well but I figure they probably want a wireless controller. On the off chance one of them is looking for a wired one well I recommend this.

Controller is good. Price is good, like everything you gotta take good care of it for it to last otherwise it can break easily.

TROUBLESHOOTING TIP FOR WINDOWS 10: I bought and returned 2 of these controllers because I though they were defective. When a 3rd one had the same problem, I got angry and started just mashing buttons. It turns out, Windows and any games on your computer will not recognize the controller (and the light never turns on) unless you press the giant X button at the top-middle of the controller. So if this seems like a brick when you plug it into your computer, press the X button (the one with the XBOX logo, not the one above the A button. Hope this helps someone else.

Bought this to use on a Windows 11 computer. Remember to push the large X button to turn on controller after you plug it in. As far as I can tell, it seems to be as accurate as a "real" xbox controller. I had a 6 foot cord for my phone, USB-a to USB-c, so I used that because I didn't need the 10 foot cord that comes with this controller. Works great so far.

I’ve had this controller for almost a year now. Still works great for me. The only thing is the wire has split, but that’s super easy and cheap to replace.
