ACWELL is one of those OG K-Beauty brands (like Benton and Isntree) that made it onto everyone's "Best Of" lists a couple of years ago. With the continued explosion in new brands, I haven't heard much about them recently but I've always been curious to try their stuff. Despite the fact that I'm not a big proponent of dedicated eye creams, I opted to try this one because it contains caffeine. My biggest issues with my eye area aren't wrinkles, but dark circles and occasional puffiness. Since nothing can help with dark circles, I thought the diuretic properties of caffeine might help with the water retention. In terms of improvement around my eyes, I'd say my results have been equivocal. However, this works great as a general moisturizer so I've been using it on my entire face as a light day cream. In addition to caffeine, it has peptides for firming, licorice for brightening and centella asiatica for soothing. I've recently started on a course of prescription tretinoin so I need to be careful what products I use in conjunction and this has proved to be very effective. It's very gentle yet feels nourishing. The thin gel-like consistency melts into my skin without any sticky residue or noticeable scent. It's fragrance free but does have a mild cocoa-like aroma coming out of the tube which fades almost instantly. Despite the fact that I'm not using this as an eye cream, it's proved ideal as a lightweight day cream/foundation primer, even during the coldest months of winter.

This eye cream is hydrating and absorbs beautifully! I wanted to change up my skin care and Acwell has not disappointed me!
