Boss RC-5 Loop Station Looper Pedal

The Boss RC-5 is a great looper at a reasonable price.

The Boss RC5 looper pedal is just the most awesome device for a person on a budget especially! While not having some of the bells and whistles of a more advanced system this looper brings a lot of functionality and delivers a solid amount of recording time, memory, and processing power. Must admit, for a beginner the device has a bit of a steep learning curve, but it is certainly a fun experience. Seems solidly built for longevity. Happy with the purchase.

The product came Dead On Arrival. The unit was not powering on using battery nor DC voltage supplied by a BOSS power cable. Spent some valuable time trying to troubleshoot. Moreover, I had to spend $5 for shipping. ‘Amazon used services’ should check such ‘pre owned’ units to make sure they at least function at a basic level, making customers waste their time and money.

This thing is a beast. After some reading, it performs excellent. I use the pre loaded drums and today I learned how to run my drum machine right into it. Beautiful..

The switch seems to shut off and lose recordings, then it glitches and turns off and on sporadically. My son loved the peddle for the few minutes he was using it

So I've had a Boss RC3 for several years and happy with but out growing it so I just bought an RC5. Trying to find the drum kits to use and the manual that comes with it the print is so small you can't read it. I found it on line but still can't find info for the drum kits. I went to their support help and it wants to charge me $5 for limited help after I already paid $200 for this item. I JUST WANT TO USE THE DRUM KITS TO LOOP AND PLAY OVER! Very unhappy, if I can't get an answer I'm going to return this!!!!!!! BE VERY AWARE!!!!

Works fine & serve its purpose with some extra features like drums to jam on. I like it. Looks & feel solid. I use this during my free time while drinking coffee.

Marca dai prezzi elevati, ma ciò che offre è indubbiamente di qualità. 5 stelle al pedale ricco di molte funzioni (certo che nel prezzo l'alimentatorino ce lo potevano mettere...) Invece dò 1 stella alla spedizione che mi ha ritardato la consegna rinviandola per ben 2 volte. Solo dopo l'intervento dell'operatore Amazon, gentilissimo, il pacco mi è stato finalmente consegnato. Grazie Amazon!

Very impressive build and sound quality. Nice compact size. I have home DIY fitted couple of switches to replace the external footswitches for more control onboard. However, Drums are just start and stop. Please don't expect any fills, transition, intro or outro. Keeps you on time though. Single loop only. Need to install software in your mac/pc to upload backing tracks, its NOT drag n drop. Also, the file has to be converted to Wav format. Extra hassle, but it is a very handy pedal (recommended) for those who likes to play along backing tracks. The main thing i dislike is that; when you are clearing a recorded loop, after stop; you press and hold the pedal, at this moment the track plays for about 1-2sec before its cleared. So your crowd may not appreciate that. Overall its a good pedal, it does OK for my need but i guess the hype is more than what it really does, unless you spend a good fortune on midi controllers. Don't always go for brand. Get what satisfies your need.
