Bird Perch Rough-surfaced Nature Wood Stand Toy Branch for Parrots

Our Timneh Gray parrot named Socrates was sold to us as a male but ending up laying an egg. Who said that sexing Grays was an easy and accurate job? Every once in a while she builds a nest and lays another egg. Whenever she does her behavior gets even weirder than normal with lots of head bobbing, aggression, and talking -- but she only talks when we are in another room. A good rough perch is necessary to allow the bird to get as high as it wants as well as keeping the nails worn down. I have never seen Socrates hone her beak on the perch. All I know is that if she is successful in grabbing my hand with her beak she then flaps her wings and backs away until blood flows from my hand. Gotta love the bird that bites the hand that feeds it. Perhaps he/she is angry that we don't treat her like a woman. For roughly $14.00 you get a well-made perch of natural materials that provides a comfortable roost and helps keep its claws worn to a tolerable sharpness. I guess that I should be happy that she doesn't use the perch as a wet stone to sharpen her beak for more efficient biting and slashing. Thank God for small favors.

We have 3 B&G macaws. That can mean a lotta time at the Vet's office. I don't like bein' the bad guy and doin' them myself, although I've done talons, wings, even beaks. These perch's went up right after arrival. Three cages. Three sleeping spots. New perches replaced old sleep perches. All were the green color. Not my fave, but hey, I didn't buy these for the color. Excellent quality. Abrasive is solid. Couldn't rub off any of the sand. Easy to install. Hardware is solid. Two washers and a wing nut. Easy to install, even on big cages, where bars are a bit further apart. The washers spanned the distance easily. I expect nails to be in better shape for all 3 of my guys within the week. I would recommend this product to anyone lookin' for another way to deal with talon tips like needles. Be talkin' to you.....David

Thought I’d have to take Lola in for a nail trim until this arrived. Within days her nails were no longer painful daggers. Excellent product

Rather long for my cage but my conure seems to like it

I was looking for something really gritty and substantial diameter wise for my parrot. Pictures are deceiving online on size and I was afraid that would be too small like for more of a cockatiel or something, but it wasn’t, it was perfect size and I was so pleased and my bird is enjoying it immensely.

Bird likes to sit on it and it keeps her nails worn down and smooth .. Good sized bird who likes to jump onto the perch and has bent it down a little from that but it is staying in place and doing what it was designed to do.. Will buy another when I need to..

Took my bird a second but now he sits on it all the time. Perfect size for smaller macaw.

The round cylinders that go to the cage are too small and perch falls!!!! This js for macaw or greys!!! Why would it come with such small cylinders. Now can’t use!!!! Will have to go to Home Depot to try to see if they sell these pieces.

Good sized perch, nice and large for a grey and okay size for a macaw, I’ll order again

It broke as we put it in the parrot cage. Very disappointing and to be honest painful to have to go to the trouble of sending it back

我が家には青目キバタンがいます。 今までは、自作で止まり木をケージに合わせて付けていました。 何故か？止まったまま噛んでしまい大型オウム用のパーチを探していました。 届いてみると…とても大型用ではなく、中型のヨウム、キボウシ系のインコ🦜には丁度良い太さだと思います。 それと…やはりザラザラ感が気になり、爪の当たる所は良いですが、手のひら側は削れてしまうかもしれないですね。 残念ながら他の物を探す事にしました。

Fits nicely on the bars, my Alexandrine loves to perch and scuff up her beak with the sandpapery surface and it's a nice size for any bird ranging in size from Conure to Grey, the diameter might be a bit much for smaller feathered friends like cockatiels and lovebirds to grip on.

ヨウムのために購入しました。 使用後3週間、足裏が擦り剥けたように赤くなっており、 すぐに別の止り木に交換しました。 爪とぎにはなりましたが、愛鳥が足を痛めてしまった可能性があるので、 今後は様子を見ながら使用してみたいと思います。 商品説明には「鳥の足裏を傷つけることもないので」とありますが、 念のため、使用時は注意が必要かと思います。
