Great addition to the farm! We have it planted by the bottom step of our deck for people to scrape the bulk of mud/poo from boots before coming up to scrape further on the wire/door mat. It's self-cleaned well by the rain, and has held up after several months of use. I saw a few reviewers complain about the birds breaking off, but I caught my 10 year old standing on the birds the other day, and they were fine...It's heavy duty and solidly made as far as I can tell. Plants far enough in the ground that it doesn't wobble when used. Opening is wide enough to fit even my husbands wider work boots. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again!

We wanted something interesting to get the mud off after time in the field. This did the trick. Well made and attractive!

Fabulous product that is working quite well on our farmstead. Great for scraping shoes just out of the chicken coop or after the mud season begins. Quite decorative and well made. Think I may have to station one of these at every door.

I had been looking for an antique boot scraper to put near my front door. I am a gardener and I have one next to my back door. Failing to find an Antique I looked on Amazon - this one fit the bill perfectly!

I bought this to take to a camping event where we always wind up with muddy boots. I was so happy to find something affordable and decorative. Imagine my dismay when we arrive, set up camp, and the first whack of the mallet- it broke in half! Total waste of money.

I've tried various boot scrapers at our farm. The brush type don't do an adequate job of removing the black clay type mud that cakes on our boots. I bought this initially because it was pretty but it turned out to be the best boot scraper we ever bought. It obviously scrapes the mud off the bottom of the boots but those little birdies aren't just decorative. When you scrape your boots against them, the mud comes off the sides and those little beaks get into the groove above the sole so most of the mud comes off with just scraping. It held up for years but understandably didn't stand up to being run over with the lawn mower...oops. So now I'm back purchasing another one.

Arrived as promised: solid, sturdy - allows for enough width for male or female boot scraping: nice bird/nature design - cause most of them out there are western motif or the daschund dog which doesn't fit our yard. Would recommend this product and vendor.

The width is great for average size shoes and boots…my husband finds it hard to use for his boots.

Looks great in the garden and has bedded in well so that it remains in place when used to scrape mud off boots without wobbling around.
