They Work Great
These things work. I have caught many a mouse in my shed. Easy to bait, easy to set. Great quality.

Got a bad batch, 3 brand-new traps failed right out of the package
I've bought these traps several times and they work great, until eventually wearing out, usually after a year or two. But this latest order of 8 traps had 3 of them which wouldn't work. Brand-new and they would not "latch" so they weren't able to be set. I hope the seller sees this because in the past, I had a problem and they responded immediately to set things right for me. Great seller and product, I think this was just a bad batch. Thanks! First day I set all 6 out baited with peanut butter and sunflower seeds. 5 of them triggered without catching anything and two traps were dragged 10 feet away. After reading suggestions here, I made a few modifications. Filled the bait cups with peanut butter mixed with sunflower seeds, and sprinkled a few seeds in the tray as well. I realized part of the problem was that the traps weren't working well on uneven ground, so I screwed the traps to scrap lumber pieces and tied them down with a few feet of twine. Within two days, I caught 3 chipmunks and 5 mice (collateral damage). All the rodents were killed instantly by a snap to the head, so the traps did that well; no having to deal with wounded animals. The chips have been eating my tomatoes so hopefully this will stop that problem. Update after one week. The chipmunk count is up to 8 now, I have been getting roughly one kill per day. One dummy (probably Dale) wandered into the garage in broad daylight maybe 10 minutes after I set the trap and it got him. Not sure who was more surprised, him or me. Most of the traps get triggered every day with no capture, but I'm still winning the war of attrition and my tomatoes are safe. UPDATE after 3 months. I caught 16 chipmunks with these traps, and saved my tomato crop. These traps work great. Nearly every one appeared to be a quick kill, since only 1 of the traps had been moved, and only occasionally get tripped without catching anything. The seller is also awesome: I emailed them asking if I could get replacement bait cups, and they sent me a set for free. I'm ready for spring, bring it on Chips, because I'm ready for you this time. UPDATE; June 2020 Chips came back in early June, so I put the traps out. Baited again with peanut butter and sunflower seeds. I caught 8 Chips in the first 24 hours! I've been at it all month, and the head count (pun) is 20 chips, 2 mice, 1 vole. I actually watched one chip cross the street and trot up my sidewalk, and a minute later the trap got him. Started getting some empty traps that got triggered, so maybe the survivors are getting smarter since I've thinned out the bottom of the gene pool. Of 6 traps, two stopped working (wouldn't latch open anymore), but these things have all been triggered dozens of times now and most are still working great. UPDATE October 2020 - after a year of solid use, all the traps eventually stopped working. There's a little plastic trigger that breaks, but this was after the traps had been triggered dozens of times. I still rate them 5 stars, because they worked great for over a year. UPDATE June, 2021 - I brought another set as soon as the chips appeared. Put 3 traps out and caught 2 in the first hour.

Traps are good but not perfect
Bought an 8 trap pack. On the 2nd night 2 test traps with bird seed as bait placed near 2 likely rat paths in my attic both caught rats. I could hear both the faint sound of running rats and the 2 traps snapping. On the next night 4 traps with bird seed set and placed in similar manner. I heard faint sound of rat(s) and one trap snapped, but when I checked the trap did not catch a rat. Traps do reset easily, but clearly this is going to be a process that takes some time. These traps do work , but clearly are not full proof..

Thank goodness for these traps
This is the best brand and traps you could possibly buy. This is the second time I have purchased them, the first time I purchased him. They worked so well I haven’t had to purchase them again. They are very sturdy and get the job done. I live in a mobile home park, so I give my neighbors them to try and get the problem under control because small mice traps do not work. Neither do the glue pads. These are the best for rats. They are not good for little tiny mice.

PHENOMENAL!
After the property behind mine was disturbed by builders, I suddenly had a rat problem in my home. I used humane traps for months, but there was one persistent rodent who rummaged through my closet at night, keeping me awake every night, all night for weeks. I figured he would never get into the humane trap, and I had to kill hiim. I love the removable safety cap which made it easy to bait and set up the trap without losing my fingers. Within 5 minutes of setting it up in the closet, I heard a snap. Normally, I would have tossed the carcass and reused the trap, but it was late at night and It was easier to dispose of the trap and rat. The price was excellent, about $4 for each trap. This is one of the best traps I've ever used, the spring is super strong and extremely effective. I HIGHLY recommended, arrived quickly and as I said, great price. If you get queasy dealing with dead rodents, this is your best option. You don't have to touch the body and when you get skilled enough, you don't even have to look at it.

Review after 1 year. Works but I prefer traditional snap traps.
To preface I live in a very ratty city and we bought an old house that came with a rat problem. Pros: Easier to set than traditional wood & wire traps. Less of a hair trigger mechanism makes it easier to set and less likely to go off when you set it down. "Hands-free" sure. But I've never put my hands on a rat to remove it from a traditional trap either. I just lift the wire and shake it loose. Cons: Less of a hair trigger means its easier for rats to steal a snack and leave. I find bait stolen from these traps more often than my other traps. Less powerful than wood & wire traps. I have more than once found half dead, still struggling, rats in these traps. Necessitating that I take matters into my own hands to put the animal out of its misery. Having to kill the animal myself is a much more unpleasant experience than removing an already dead rat from a wire trap. Overall they work and I do still use them, but I'm also on Amazon today to buy more wood & wire traps instead of these.

Effective, reusable, seemingly weatherproof, and easy to set rat traps...
Effective and easy to set rat traps. I've been using them for a couple of weeks now and have had success. I'm using them outside and they have been through a couple of fairly heavy rains, with no apparent affect on their functionality. They are easy to clean... I just use the spray nozzle on an outdoor hose. I deducted a star due to one of them having a defective latch mechanism and won't stay set. As they are reusable, and well priced, I would purchase again in the future.
