Good for metallic thread
Bought these to embroider with metallic thread, slowed my machine down and they worked well

The needle makes all the difference!
The quality of the needles used really affects how well your machine sews - and Schmetz are the best. As a beginner sewer I've discovered so often that problems with the stitching is usually solved by changing the needle, and not just to a better quality one, but also to a newer one, and to one designed for the type of fabric being sewn.
