Whilst this little SD card reader is very basic it comes it a great use. I personally use it to transfer data from my Phone/Drone to my laptop. If you have a old phone you want to copy the data just plug this in and drag it across with a SD card, you will need the phone screen. I have put the pencil next to the reader just for the sense of size, it is compact and works well. The download speed is almost immediate and demonstrated great value for money. With a compact design this is a good asset in the bag.

Apple are notorious for omitting standard interface ports from successive MacBook models in favour of some new bespoke standard that in truth is of dubious value. Suffice it to say then that a dearth of useful ports necessitates the purchase of additional, plug-in peripherals in order to maintain compatibility with other devices. As such I opted for the ‘KiWiBiRD USB-C SD Card Reader’… Housed in rather spartan, minimalist yet still well presented white cardboard packaging the adapter itself admittedly feels a little light and cheap in the hand. Nevertheless the paltry 4.5mb firmware update file I had urgently required for another device downloaded just fine via the Micro SD slot. Subsequent testing of the remaining USB-A and SD card slots via basic read/write function also went without issue. Functionality aside one debatable/very minor issue was found with the Kiwi’s USB-C plug. Fitting rather snugly into my Mac it requires slightly more force than usual to remove. Now obviously tighter than normal connectors are hardly a deal breaker, especially considering the product’s low price point, yet I still thought it worth mentioning anyway! CONCLUSION: Neat and diminutive, the ‘KiWiBiRD USB C SD Card Reader’ does exactly what it says on the proverbial tin. Highly recommended for those Mac users wondering where to slot in all their USB-A/SD/Micro SD cards!

The only thing to watch out for is when you have finished use remember to unmount the the "usb drive" before unpluging the adapter. If you don't your Android device will start intermittant restarting until you plug the adaptor back in and unmount "usb drive" and then unplug it. The adapter allows all the usual file operations on micro SD, SDHC, SDXC memory cards.

Really handy to have. I use mine between my macbook air and my Nikon dslr camera to upload the pictures on my laptop. Compatible with type C and SD cards. Very handy to have, small enough for travelling and convenience. The transfer speed is alright, and the quality is normal.

For all those now useless memory cards you paid a fortune for 2byears ago and are now pretty much obsolete, but if you've got a Bluetooth hifi (I do) they may be handy, or a camera, or some downloaded p0Rn

En conclusión, un buen producto y precio razonable que no va a defraudar.
