What did I do to deserve this?
I rarely write reviews because they are time consuming, and to be honest I'm really tired and lazy at the end of the day, but I had to jump on here and write a review because this company has very much earned it. Initially, I was really hesitant to order this. I had the same exact year and model and LOVED my old laptop, but alas, it was not meant to be. One night of FaceTiming with a long distance friend and three glasses of rosé paired with...I don't know, apparently I like to move my hands a lot when I'm excited? Weird, I know...and my laptop got to experience the wine, but not in a good way, and it fried. Now, I'm a Mac girl through and through. Call me trendy, extra, basic, but come on. Have you seen the screens on these things? GORGEOUS. So I wasn't going to but a middle of the road laptop. I had finished college, and I have a desktop in my office for work, so I figured I could bypass a laptop. Nope. Being salaried and a preschool director with a killer new job, I'm going to need a laptop to work from home on weekends. But we all know Apple is not budget friendly. You want a new Apple product? Cool, we're gonna need you to take out a second mortgage or work four jobs for approximately ten years. Yeah, no thanks. After window shopping, I found this beauty. Less than four hundred dollars? Excellent condition? Add to cart. Once I ordered, I realized I didn't check reviews, so off I went, and found they were very mixed. I contemplated cancelling the order, but then figured it was already put through and charged, so I might as well risk it. I am so glad I did. When it arrived, my husband immediately charged it. I got home and saw it sitting on our kitchen island in all its glory. Beautiful color, zero keyboard deficiencies, screen with zero flaws. There is a chip on the bottom right corner of the shell which is very small. You can't notice it unless you are studying it like you're back in high school biology. Installed a case, and you can barely remember it's there. So far, so good. I turned it on very hesitantly, worried that it would have a flaw on the screen, freeze, have a fan that sounded like a turbo jet, any amount of things. Nope. It runs better than my previous one. Setup was simple, my account is connected, runs like a marathon runner who has trained their entire life. I am in love. If this was laptop was a good looking man, I would run away with it. All in all, it runs beautifully and I will one hundred percent be purchasing from this company again. My daughter is going to need a laptop soon, so...take my money. All in all, I'm incredibly surprised in the best way possible. HUGE thank you to this company. I'm so happy.

Spend the money on the M1 - M5 chips ... the fan goes off the second you open.
I was very excited upon receiving this new laptop, im currently using a 2017 macbook air so keep that in mind when reading, my current macbook was also refurbished too and i have been using it for almost 4 years now. I opened up the new one to find that it was just placed in a box not securely packaged. Opening the actual laptop there was like crumbs in between the screen and the keyboard, there were scuffs on the sides of it and scratched on the screen, I did pay for excellent condition, and like i said compared to my old refurbished one, that one was already in better condition. Then heres the worst part, i simply turned the laptop on to set it up and the fan was already going crazy, i only had chrome running and the fan was so loud ... so i decided to compare it to my old one again, my old one can sit with 4 apps running in the background with 5 tabs open and the fan STILL wasnt as loud. After everything the new computer was even running slower and took longer to load than my old one, I just had to return it. If the fan wasnt so loud and it ran faster I wouldve kept it because it still looked nice compared to my old one ... went to best buy an hour later and got the 2025 m5 chip one for $799 instead and just splurged the money.

Updated Review. Initially came with hardware issue, needed to be replaced
UPDATE: It's probably been over a month since I wrote my initial review. After receiving my first MacBook that came with a hardware issue, I immediately reached out to the seller to see if they would replace it. They responded immediately and said they would send me a replacement, so after sending my faulty MacBook in, my replacement came in about a week. Since then, I have had no issues with my new one and I am excited to hopefully have this one for many years! Unfortunately, I am going to need to return the one I received as there is most likely a hardware issue. I am really disappointed because I was really excited for this MacBook! I need this for school and I was planning on using this for many years but I can't spend almost $400+ for it to come broken, I don't have that kind of money. The model I received came with Catalina OS and it had a few issues such as weird frame rate stuff in browser and no sound driver. Both of these issues were fixed when I upgraded to the most recent OS, Sequioa. However, since the night I received it, I have consistently gotten the error message "Your computer was restarted because of a problem" and the error code that it sends to Apple is always the same. There is a kernel panic that I have been told is a major hardware issue and I cannot afford to replace this if the hardware fails anytime soon! I will certainly update this when the issue is resolved, because I love everything about this laptop. The screen is bright and beautiful, the keys are a wonder to press and it's super easy to use (Lifelong Mac User here).

Great quality for being renewed!
This lap top works great! For being a renewed lap top it works fast! It’s super light weight and great for travel! It was so simple to set up and connect my iPhone to. The lap top came with very minor scratches on the top but other than that it is in great condition!

Not As Great
Scratches on it, which is eh okay because it’s refurbished. But this computer malfunctions quite often. And it cannot handle more than three apps/tabs open without the fan being on FULL blast. It literally sounds like it’s going to blow. Also, I can’t full screen a video, movie or show too quickly without the computer having to load or even turn off!

Flawless!
This MacBook was flawless when I first opened it. There were no scratches or any wear or tear that was visible. It came with a charger and ran so smooth. My daughter absolutely loves it!

Great Value for a Reliable Mac – Perfect for Everyday Use!
I purchased this renewed Early 2020 MacBook Air (Intel Core i3, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) on March 31, 2025, and I’ve been using it daily since. For a renewed product, I’m genuinely impressed by the quality – it looks almost brand new and runs smoothly for most everyday tasks like browsing, email, streaming, and light productivity. The 13-inch display is crisp and vibrant, and the gold color gives it a sleek, premium look. Battery life has been decent so far, and the keyboard feels comfortable to type on. A few things to note: • It’s not the fastest MacBook out there, especially compared to M1/M2 models, so I wouldn’t recommend it for heavy video editing or gaming. • The fan does spin up during multitasking, but nothing extreme. Overall, this is a great budget-friendly option if you want to enjoy the Mac experience without paying full price. Solid choice for students, writers, or casual users.
