The covers works great. I didn't know it was split the whole way I thought you just put the knife in the end and slid it in. That's not the case but it being split the whole way is not a problem. The knife stays in the holder well and goes right in. Keeps the knife and people around it safe. Works well and a must have for a Scallop knife like the one pictured. Very happy would buy again

this is an improvement over a cheaper brand that I had purchased for other knives. . this is formfitting for a slicer, where the cheaper guard is needlessly too wide, as though they only use one width and just cut for length, not according to the blade.

Great quality very efficient when using it.very sharp blades,reasonable price.
