This is a great product, but be warned if you are using this with multiple SSID’s and Vlans, it can be a bit tricky to setup and may require multiple resets to get your configuration right. It does not come with a Poe injector! I have this on a custom home network and it supplies coverage for an easy 1200sqft. I’m sure it can probably do 2000sqft if placed in the right spot. Hard Reset can be a bit tricky. Overall great product. July update; After 5months of use the device started giving problems, radio signals for all networks would just go offline. Called dlink and they told me to redo the bios. Did that and it worked flawlessly for 2 months and now the problem is back. I will rma it to dlink for a new one. Disappointed that this has kicked the bucket. For enterprise equipment this didn’t last long. SMH Hopefully I just got a dud and the next one lasts more than 6 months.

I recently purchased a D-Link DAP-1665 to add an extra access point to my home. I have 20 security cameras, everyone has a cell phone (4 total) and there are 3 iPads, a Nintendo Wii U and a Nintendo Switch. This little device is right now handling 6 security cameras, 2 BlackBerries KeyOne, and an iPad. So far so good. No complains at all. Be aware that the signal on the 5 GHz band does not reach as far as the 2.4 GHz, so for all devices that will usually be relatively far from the access point, make sure to setup the 2.4 GHz band. Update: So far, I have purchased 3 of this. They do an excellent job!

I've had mine since December 2015 - it's fixed the wifi range issue at home. We live in a newish apartment with two floors, totalling 2400sqf so it's a huge amount of space to get good wifi range. I spent a lot of money testing which one would be best, I tried all brand types including a Apple Airport Extreme the timecapsule version amount netgear ones...no luck. This fixed the range issue and I can get a good connection from everywhere in the house - bear in mind we have two floors, 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms...and it covers it all. I placed mine at the top of the staircase on the wall...ran a 50m RJ45 cable ovee the poe injector that comes with it. Super easy to setup and works as an access point for me. I've got a gigabit connection at home and so my wifi speeds on 5GHz are around 700 up/down and more or less the same on the 2.4GHz. Buy it, test it out and then return it if it doesn't work out.

Works exceptionally well. Programming it is simple, if you use your smart. Not easily possible in an industrial setting where it's not the same person there. Anyway, once you figure it out, works flawlessly. I use it as a bridge thru 5 steel walls, and across probably 200m between the 2 stations. Excellent connectivity. Highly recommended.
