These jeans just might be my new Roman Empire. Where have these been all my life? Lol. Once I figured out my sizing with these, I can definitively say that they fit exactly as described - no waist gap, tummy compression, butt-lifting, great stretch that doesn’t loosen up as you wear them. Great material. They are comfy yet form fitting.My journey to figure out my size in the democracy brand was … interesting. Thank goodness for Amazon’s try before you buy. I am 133lbs, 5’3”. Depending on the brand, I deviate between a 4-8 (27-29) and usually I start by trying a 6 and 8 which I did here. The 8 was huge and the 6 was as well. Also the legs were long. I had very obvious bunching at my ankles and I really wanted a more put together look.Sent those sizes back and reordered in size 4. It was then I noticed that Democracy had short lengths. Snatched up a size 4 and 4S. The 4S is perfect.I immediately ordered the only other color available in 4S and even kept the size 4R because I loved the color.So in less than a month, I ended up owning 3 pairs of these jeggings and I will buy them again if Amazon ever carries them in a 4S!! Take advantage of “Try before you buy” and get these, they are worth the price and when on sale, a total steal!

Jeans have been hard for me to buy lately because I gained 10 pounds and it seems to have all landed in my gut. My usual size 5 jeans fit everywhere but around my waist. I can wear them but they dig into my stomach and are uncomfortable. Sick of leggings, I went looking for real jeans that would fit around my waist without being baggy everywhere else. These Democracy Ab Solution Jeggings seemed promising because they were advertised as having a stretchy waist.I bought size 6. I am 5'5", 140 pounds for reference but was 144 pounds when I bought them. I like the weight of the jeans. They feel like lightweight jeans, not jeggings or fake jean leggings. As I pulled them up the first time, I thought to myself that there was no way that they would be comfortable around my waist. When I got there, there was incredible stretch and they buttoned with ease. They fit nicely on my legs, which are thin and long, and around my average size hips. I wore them all day and didn't have an urge to unbutton them or rip them off and toss them away like I had been feeling when wearing my other jeans. They were comfortable and moved with me. They also helped to flatten my belly a little as well.I am happy with the jeans and will buy another shade. I got blue which is more on the lighter side of blue and now want a darker shade for fall and winter. I just wish they were a tad bit longer. They hit at about my ankle which is OK but I prefer jeans that are an inch or two longer than that. With boots and heels though, they look fine. Note that I do have long legs so they should fit fine lengthwise on those with average length legs.

First, I have to say I almost never write reviews but these are just that good.Second, I need to specify that this review is for the ones called "Bl blue" that have an artfully ripped hole in the knee. I also ordered a pair called "blue" and I sent them back because they were no where near as amazing as these. The waistband was tighter and itchy. The tag called them jeans vs jeggings which I assume is what made the difference. I ended up going to the Democracy website and ordering another pair like the first "Bl blue" ones in a different shade of blue (though not with the nicer amazon prize with free prime shipping unfortunately). They are equally amazing!! In fact, I got rid of every other pair of jeans I own because I will never choose them over these.I have washed and dried them- no issues whatsoever. I do always wash my clothes on cold/delicate and remove to hang or lay flat before they are fully dry. I doubt I'd have an issue though even if drying these on full blast. They are very stretchy BUT with that said, they do not stretch out or get baggy 20 minutes after you put them on. I've worn the same pair 2-3 times before washing and they have the same fit every time.To start with, I am fairly average size but after having 4 kids I have a mommy pooch that you know, is not ever going to go away without expensive surgery so I was looking for something that was flattering in that area and was comfortable- didn't dig in painfully. These meet and exceed those goals. I could literally sleep in them if I had to they are that comfortable but at the same time look really nice and can easily be dressed up or down. The soft band inside holds you in snugly but comfortably. It makes them feel more like leggings than jeans but they look more like jeans than leggings (with real zipper and button). Now that I own two pairs I doubt I really need any more but if I do I will not look anywhere else.For anyone wanting to know, since the description doesn't include it. The "Bl blue" ones are "Ab"solution Booty Lift Jeggings which according to the tag come "featuring slimming panels construction to mold and hold and boost your assets" that they do!
