Speed Shave 7061-500

A workhorse. Gets it done every time. Easy to use — and gets easier, with use. I have cut shaving-time in half, with a coarse beard. I find myself shaving twice a day, “...because I want to.” Larger than anticipated, but easy to handle, well balanced and handle can be held, in a number of ways. Finally, for a full-size electric razor, it is not at all heavy and charges quickly. I did not really appreciate it, until I had for about 10 or so days — as I adapted to it. Note: This razor needs regular cleaning due to heavy-performance and quantity of hair captured. Very easy to clean. I would suggest an ‘ALL-IN-Spray’ cleaner, lubricant, etc. After many years of electric razor-shaving, here are my preferences, for a good spray products that are fast and efficient. No relationship to these products except as a user. 1) The Best is ‘ Andis Cool Care Plus’, but it can be hard to get, though. Here is their description. “Andis Cool Care Plus is a five-in-one formula is a coolant, disinfectant, lubricant, cleaner, and rust preventative. Get clean, cool, lubricated blades in one easy step without removing them from the clipper!” 2) A second choice is Remington s ‘All-in-One’ spray cleaner. I am currently using this, because since COVID, ‘Andis’ is hard to find. Using a quality spray cuts down on oiling the razor. I would suggest once per month or even once per two months, for a full clean and oil. As this razor is virtually water-proof—short of full submersion, for a several minutes. A full cleaning is easy to do. Oiling the razor is what prevents rust, so it is actually necessary for any electric razor.

My 26 year old son is developmentally disabled and I'm in charge of shaving him. I used a rotary shaver on him for several years -- I'm a blade many myself -- but it was often unforgiving to his skin. I decided to change to a foil razor and this one was both highly rated and reasonably priced. It works like a charm and Adam's face is now freshly shaved daily without irritation. Works great wet or dry. Highly recommended.

So far I like this shaver for what it is. Holding down the On/Power button sets it on a safety mode(Holding down the On/Power button again to turn off the safety mode) to prevent it from easily turning on when taking this with you during your travels while it's in your luggage/carrying-case. Every time I used it, This shaver lasted long enough where it never went dead on me while I'm shaving and If that ever does happen that'll probably be the time that I have to get a new shaver & I usually plug it in to charge it when I'm done. One of the major downsides is you have to run this shaver within the same certain areas of your face a few times in order to get that smooth skin feel & To maximize the chances of getting that smooth facial hair shave leading to that smooth skin feel it's best to use the clippers/trimmers that's made for shaving your facial hair 1st before using this Wahl Speed Shave. On when the blades/foil should be replaced with new ones..... Least frequent shaver - Replace 1 time every Year/9-Months or Earlier if the blades/foil looks bad/broken. Somewhat frequent shaver - Replace every 6 months or Earlier if the blades/foil looks bad/broken. Frequent shaver - Replace every 3 months or If the blades/foil looks bad/broken.

The shaver works very well. However, the trimmer does not cut and pulls the hair instead. i called customer service and she said to put oil on the trimmer. This did not help very much. It still pulls and does not cut.

For the past several years, since my old norelco bit the dust, I've been looking for a replacement razor that shaved as well. Bought a new expensive Norelco and was extremely disappointed. It simply wouldn't shave. Bought a new expensive Braun and again was disappointed, as it's shave was even worse. Saw the Wahl and decided I had nothing to lose as the price was so reasonable compared to the others. To my utter surprise it gives a great shave quickly. Not one minute as advertised, but dang quick. I mean my whiskers were completely shaved smooth quickly, no fuss, no aggravation or drama. Just removed like the quality shavers of my past.

This shaver gives a close-enough shave with one pass and a close shave with two passes. I have loose skin so unless I stretch my skin any shaver bogs down, thus the two passes. The grip is comfortable. The beard and sideburn trimmer works better than my previous shaver, giving a clean line clear across my sideburns as it only requires one cut, not two. I had not heard of the Wahl brand before I purchased this. Now I would recommend it.

I was looking at some of the premium shavers but, based on reviews, I couldn't justify another $100+. After the first charge I got 16 shaves! 16! Wow, my rotary shaver was good for...5-7? A few shaves in, I was in a hurry and only did a 2 minute shave (vs 4 or 5 normally). The shave was at least 90% of what I was normally getting. Also my past rotary and foil shavers were hard to clean. Specially the blades. Somehow, this shaver doesn't collect hair in the blades? I just blow the excess hair off and it's good to go. I'm very impressed. 5 stars!!!

I have used Wahl 4000 shavers with super close screen since back when Paul Harvey advertised them on his radio show. The battery life was a weak feature with the Flex shaver, in later years the quality of cutter screens became a problem. The only good features about the Wahl Speed Shaver is the Lithium Ion battery, low noise level and ease of cleaning. For me the One Minute Shave is a fantasy, it takes me three or four times longer to shave than with my old Wahl shaver, so you're talking ten minutes plus. You can't see the indicator lights unless you are in a very dark room, and then they are barely visible. It may be my beard, yes, it's old, but not heavy, I shave every morning, but it just does not cut well. I have to just keep going over it in all directions, it just does a very poor job. I even tried using pre-shave lotion, with little help. I am very disappointed in it's performance and have been using my old razor rather than fight to get a good, close, clean shave. I bought my new Speed razor back in July, here it is Oct, it is laying in my drawer, I guess I could use it for a paper weight. Glad I didn't pay more money for the super-duper model with extra indicator lights that you can't see. Sorry Wahl Company, you blew this one. Might work for you, but doesn't for me, so can't recommend it. :-(
