Nature'S Life - Bromelain & Papain 100 Vegetarian Capsules

We eat a lot of beef, chicken, and pork for dinner at our house and as I've gotten older I've found its become more difficult to stay regular on that diet without some assistance. I didn't want to stop eating steak and I also didn't want to have to rely on laxatives since that could lead to becoming dependent on them (not a good idea). As an RN I've known about the digestive benefits of eating a pineapple slice after heavy meals, but pineapples are expensive, don't keep well, and are very acidic, so it wasn't the ideal solution for me. On the other hand, Bromelain is an enzyme derived from the stems of pineapples that helps your digestive health by breaking down proteins from the food you've eaten and helping your body to metabolize them as needed and flush any excess amounts from your system which in turn promotes better regularity and colon well being. It is also said, but not completely proven yet that Bromelain also helps prevent wrinkles by breaking down the cross-linked proteins in collagen that cause wrinkles, and also has anti-inflammatory properties which can help provide relief for inflammation due to arthritis. Papain is an enzyme from the fruit of the papaya tree that also helps to break down proteins and thus aid digestive health. It is also medically used as an anti-inflammatory and to prevent fluid retention (amongst other uses). Used together in capsule form is beneficial for my digestive health and has greatly improved my regularity already. I take one capsule following a meal. Follow manufacturer's dosage guidelines. I don't understand why these have the STRONGEST smell I've ever smelled from a pill, but it's tolerable to smell if you try to ignore it. These work pretty well for an injury that has a long healing time I sustained with a considerable amount of bruising. My healing time has been cut down by maybe a few weeks. They don't interact with any medicine (supplements or prescribed) I currently take. They're pretty awesome despite the smell.

I took this bottle of Natures LIfe Bromelain and Papain to my doctor and he read that there are no medicinal ingredients in this bottle. It was a waste of my money and I am very disappointed that sellers prey on people in pain, knowing that we are searching for some relief. I wouldn't even rate it but I guess that is the only way to get the message out.

My friend was on FB live a few weeks ago and she gave her review on it and stated that after 6 days of taking the product that she has little to no inflammation. I had to try them because I was suffering from inflammation in my knee so much so that I could not run and could not do squats which was a bummer for me. I can attest to the same thing as her. In as little as 4-5 days , I noticed the inflammation in my knee had totally subsided!!! My knee looks normal again and there is no pain. Lastly, I am running again and can actually do squats with no limitations and no pain! I would say give them a try. I am a believer!
