The Doughnut Cookbook: Easy Recipes for Baked and Fried Doughnuts

This book is rad! I don't know what other people are upset about...it's like $10, and the perfect starter book to get into baking doughnuts. They give yeast, baked, and I think cake recipes. Some people are saying there isn't variation, and that might be true for glazes and such, but make it your own! Experiment, try different stuff out. The recipes they give are totally sufficient and taste awesome, but it can easily be interpreted as just a "bare bones" start. The book is relatively small, so if you're buying it as just a coffee table book, might not be the best choice. I made vanilla, chocolate, and maple bacon my first time around, and they were absolutely killer. Can't wait to try some others!

This is an OK book. I will probably keep it; it wasn't very expensive, but it is very repetitive. One doughnut recipe with super minor variations (could have been a footnote) becomes four recipes. Almost no pictures. Too many recipes start with a can on refrigerated crescent rolls or dinner rolls or even pizza dough. But id did say "easy", so what did I expect? Each recipe has a little preface, which I like. It is a good size book at 160 pages and has a nice feel. Recipes are printed in an easy to read font.

Book set up nicely... looking forward to using it.

My brother in law loves donuts and cooking. He is notoriously hard to shop for so this was a fun addition to his Christmas gifts. Just a little something to say, "thinking of you!"

Which is for majority of this small little book, is just okay. It is edible, but not my go-to & definitely not donut store quality. It’s a little on the salty side and feels more like a bread than a donut. I’m hugely disappointed because most of the recipes are base on this yeast donut.

Thought I would try baking donuts. The book is filled with recipes and pictures.

Ordered this for our nephew. He has used a few recipes in this book and has found it helpful.
