Godox TL-4 4in1 Multi-Holder Studio E27 Socket Tricolor Light Lighting Lamp Head

Just as advertised. I'm using it to replace the lamp heads on the Cowboy Studio kit, and it is by far more heavily built. The power cord is modular, and is very thick. Had no problems with threading, and the back panel is well laid-out and functional. The umbrella I had went straight in and stayed there. I don't know what more to say, it's just a good product. I'm using it for video lighting with a Neewer softbox and 105W bulbs when they come in. Will update if anything changes.EDIT: So the 105W bulbs are actually 125W bulbs (discrepancy with the product page for newer orders, I suppose), and only two fit in each (oversight on my part). The lamp head runs them fine, but the bulbs, no matter the socket, hum fairly loudly. I stand by my original review, as it has no problem running multiple bulbs off any socket. I know I'm nowhere near the maximum capacity, but it's perfectly fine as far as I can tell, and for my uses.

One of the problems with using continuous lighting, if you already have an investment in flash/strobe lighting is using your existing light diffusers. Godox provides a good solution with this TL-4 by building a softbox ring into the unit to accomodate standard softboxes. With the addition of the umbrella hole in the center, this unit becomes very useful. To use this for still portrait photography get the brightest bulbs you can find because the output, even with four 100 watt equivalent LEDs will be about 3 stops less than using a shoemount flash in the same diffusers.

Most of it is OK for the money but as other reviews say the light sockets are crap. I would have given it 4 stars but one snapped the threads loose before the bulb ever even got tight and in the others the lights were all crooked. I changed out all the sockets for some like them I bought on amazon and it is pretty nice now. Is mainly relegated to a work light but it is functional as a photo light. Two switches and long cord are pluses.

I love these (own 2). I also have 2 of another brand that came in a bundle. Compared to those the Godox ones are exceptionally well built. They work as desired. The detachable power cord and the power indicator light is a PLUS!

We coupled this with a 1 meter Godox softbox/umbrella and have using this as an extremely effective key light. The quality and build of this 4 way is hearty and has transported well. The weight of the 4 way, 4 bulbs, and the softbox/umbrella is a bit bulky so don't go cheap on the lightstands. Godox provides a considerable length of high quality cable with this 4 way which is a greattly appreciated addition. Great buy.

I'm so upset...As soon as I turned it on, it blew a bulb. It made such a terrible, loud, sizzle and pop noise that I was frightened. The smell was bad. Reluctantly I put in another blub (in case that was the problem) and two additional immediately blew. I feel horrible because I bought two of these units. I hate writing bad reviews, but what else can I do. Each bulb was about $22US.

Wonderful head. I've had it for a year now and still use it. Best quality over all the other multi socket heads.

You don’t need the most expensive gear for lighting. These do fine with some strong bulbs
