better faster stronger
Time saver! Within 10 minutes I had my network moved over from my old nortek go control and zha integration to this sonoff stick using zigbee2mqtt and the mqtt integration. This thing is quick! Wish I had bought it sooner, its saved tons of time in troubleshooting (havent had a need to do any) everything just worked for the first time reliably, and is still working. Great product sonoff! =) Well worth its price especially in time saved.

Works well with Home Assistant portal
Installed to provide Zigboee functionality to my 'Home Assistant' server. It worked without any issue, including when I moved the HA installation from my QNAP server to a Mac-Mini.

So far a solid choice
I immediately used this product with Zigbee2MQTT so all of my opinions are for this setup. I followed the instruction for this adapter on the Zigbee2MQTT website (and may have found a YouTube to give me some more confidence) before proceeding to flash the firmware. The written instructions were a little...rough (I love downloading random .docx files, but YOLO and Linux). If followed, they work and getting the stick to work with Zigbee2MQTT (Home Assistant add-on) was also fairly painless. Make sure you understand the network options in Zigbee2MQTT before setting everything up. It's a good idea to personalize your network key and much easier to do before you start including a bunch of devices. I have about 8 smart plugs and a couple of Philips Hue lamps as a mesh and 12 end devices on my network. So far I mostly use my Zigbee network for motion/temperature/lux sensors (since the Hue ones are amazing), door locks, and a couple of cheapo thermostats that work pretty well. The plugs are mostly for the mesh (I think I have a HomePod plugged into one for some reason) and some lamps in an inflexible room. This stick with Zigbee2MQTT has been a solid combination. Not every device has worked perfectly every time, but every device I've bought has worked at least as well as it states in the official Zigbee2MQTT device list. Read the device information carefully before you purchase anything, there may be caveats. My toddler can inundate the network with RGB changes through my phone and I rarely see any lag. I plan to keep adding Philips Hue devices to this network since they have been so solid. I prefer not having to rely on their bridge (3rd party controlled dependency) and this setup got me into the Hue devices fairly painlessly using open source software that I can actually decipher.

Works well with Home Assistant + Synology / Docker setup
Good little USB coordinator that works everything I've tried so far... I am using one of these in 3000 sqft on 2 floors, using Sonoff smart plugs and a few Aeotec range extenders for network stability. It is stuck in a closet so antenna placement isn't ideal, but nonetheless I was able to get a good mesh net going to control lights on both floors. Will be trying some smart blinds next... In case the headline means something to you, consider this one for good compatibility. It uses the Texas Instruments CC2652 chipset which is well supported in Linux systems, including Synology. So if you have a similar setup, consider this as your coordinator. I was able to pass this device through to Home Assistant in a Docker on DSM7.2 (using Portainer to compose the device layer). That lets the USB device show up inside of ZHA without doing anything additional. Haven't tried MQTT but I assume it's similar...

Works in Linux, not painless tho
This was easy to install - sort of. I'm using Home Assistant in VMware running on a debian host. It was showing up in the host (debian) just fine. It was not passing through to the VM though. After a LOT of fumbling around with permissions, USB versions in VM settings, hardware searches in the VM cmd line etc. I used an AI to help diagnose the pass-through failure. The fix was to blacklist the Sonoff hardware in modprobe. I also added generic.usb lines in a hidden .vmx file in the VMware config before that. That didn't hurt I'm sure. Do the blacklist first and go from there. I hope this helps others using a similar setup. Once all that was done it popped right up front and center in the integrations tab and installed without a hiccup. Pairing the first device was painless after that.

I got this to create a Zigbee network in Home Assistant after finding that many of the devices and sensors that I wanted to use made use of this protocol. So far, I have only positive things to say. It was detected right away after rebooting my Home Assistant host, and configuring the first few Zigbee devices was a painless experience, including Ikea globes and remotes too. It is a bulky case, so if you are plugging it directly into your machine, you might find some clearance issues, but a small extension can fix that easily. I would definitely recommend this device based on my own experiences so far.

Flawless functionality in HAOS. Pass through the usb device in proxmox to the Vm if you’re using that kind of setup. Instead of ZHA, Use MQTT and you will not be disappointed. No need to flash firmware but if you want to, use the python method.
