Great starter kit with online tutorials
Surprised by how many modules I got from this. Online tutorials are nice with code examples. Haven't had much time to really dig into it but so far I'm really liking this.

Fun
Cool kit, great value for what you're getting. I wish it had a joystick, but hey with everything you're getting, especially in this economy I understand how that's too much to ask for. overall great kit, I haven't had an issue with it yet. Just be sure to push the USB all the way in on the arduino board if it won't connect to your pc, and download the driver for the chip (it's on the box "ch430" or something like that.

Mostly great
A few pieces were either slightly rusted on the connectors or had bent connectors but after a bit of adjustment they still work. The sound sensor module I received didn't work well, likely a manufacturer calibration issue on my piece. Aside from these quality issues, over 90% of the assets work just fine. The provided online tutorials are simple enough to follow, and it utilizes everything in the box. Great value for the price!

Definitely medium difficulty
I liked the kit. It helps teach you how to write code for Arduino boards. You have to download the Arduino program to do the exercises. It wasn't super hard to do, however it's not super easy either. Definitely takes a little bit of patience. I enjoyed it. It helped me make a temperature sensor to open and close my windows.

It's intense what we expect of our kids.
It's intense what we expect of our kids. But if we want greatness we want a product like this it's easy to get started it's intense to keep going and it's unreasonably difficult for me to finish with or without a kid. The product packaging was great it was filled with equipment that I still haven't figured completely out even though that comes with clear instructions and a disk I believe this is the one with the disc yes this is the r3 it came with a disc to get you started but even if you can't there's Arduino site that will be happy to serve you. I guess this was one of my better experiences for a company that doesn't begin with am and end with on. I'll be there about it there. Hope you have a great experience be well and stay safe

Awesome starter kit!
This has been really fun. As someone who has only a basic understanding of electronics (no programming and no experience with breadboards) I was having a lot of fun making buttons and buzzers to light up the LEDS.

Incredible option for the price!
I am just getting into the microcomputer world, and this was a great deal to dip my toes in. I did pick up a brand-name version of this at Micro Center the other day, and you can certainly see the overall difference in quality between the two - this one looks and feels cheap, but so far it functions just about the same for the simple projects I've been doing. I had some difficulty getting the code from IDE to this device, but some online searching pointed me to a driver that needed to be installed for it to be compatible. After that was installed, I was able to upload a code without issue. A card in the box does point you to a DropBox (I believe) file that has some codes and stuff to look at, and if I recall correctly, downloading the "driver" from that file did not work. Just gave me an error message during install. Going directly to the website for the device pointed me toward the correct driver.
