Although this pre-set timer was originally intended as a standard kitchen timer, that does not necessarily mean that is the only way in which it can be used. Very often we find indoor artificial suntanning equipment that comes equipped with the old-fashioned electro-mechanical count-down timers. These old analog timers are wildly inaccurate, and therefore, are not to be trusted. It is important for safety reasons not to exceed the manufacturer's recommendations when using indoor tanning beds, regardless of make or model. That is where this handy pre-set timer is a savior. It works like a charm. Once you get the hang of it, you don't even have to look at it in order to get an accurate (to the second) countdown. A worthwhile investment for indoor tanning beds that d not come equipped with digital countdown timers.

SIMPLE TO USE and WORKS GREAT as a glaucoma eyedrop timer. When you use certain medications for glaucoma, you have to apply the eyedrops and then gently press your tear ducts shut for 3 minutes so the medication is absorbed by your eyes. If it gets into your bloodstream it can cause fatigue - I learned this the hard way. This timer is great because I can apply the drops, flip the cube, and wait, eyes closed and tear ducts shut, until the beep beep beep. No fussing with the timer or having to set it, simply flip to the '3'. Highly recommended.

Got these as potty timers for our kids (I bought two), and they are ideal. Intuitive enough for young kids to use them, loud enough to be heard in another room, decently priced. Too soon to see how they hold up to the (ab)use of children, but so far very happy
