Small, fun, and fast!
Game is fast, much faster rounds than I expected. Has fantastic replay value and has a fine solo play system, which is most important to me. Replay value comes from variety and random civilizations and terrain cards, however, there is no progression to the next games. I love and want all the Tiny Epic games and this civilization themed game doesn't let down! Also, the size of the box and everything included so Soo small, it becomes adorable rather than "cheap" and I am satisfied with my purchase!

An Awesome, Portable Game.
For the full review and more, please visit yayornay.tk! Starting with the box/design. The box has a nice matte finish, regular readers will know that I love this type of finish, it's durable, looks great, and feels even better. The biggest selling point of this game is the pocket-able size, it was able to travel back and forth from my friends place to my home inside of my jacket pocket while also being sat, stepped, and fallen on. The art is beautiful and lines the entirety of the box. There is a short description on the back along with the contents, credits, and the advantages of the game. Next, the big question, is the game actually fun? The answer, it depends. If you are a person who constantly travels, loves games, loves strategy, but don't have the time to play them; this is the game/series for you. If you're a casual gamer who prefers luck-based or less strategy focused games, this is not for you. This game is all about conquest, and furthering specific resources in order to not immediately meet the end of game conditions and end up losing. There are some cool mechanics, such as following the action of another player, and players taking up actions on the action card so that others can't do the same thing, along with the unique region and war benefit system. The game, while the 31-Page rulebook can be a little intimidating, is relatively simple. Setup can take 1-2 minutes but is straightforward and easy. Gameplay is also super simple, but can be a tad bit confusing when you're first reading through the rules. My usual group of friends were driven away and begun to complain and get bored due to the setup process and me being a bit unfamiliar with the rules, but as gameplay progressed, really got in to the game and begun to have fun. This is an AWESOME game for just $10.

Great game
Great game and I like the portability of the ultra tiny version. Decided to order the regular size game as the ultra tiny version is a little awkward to use as the pieces barely fit within the markings on the card. Great game play and lots of factions to choose from so high replay value.

One of the better Epic franchise games
It is indeed "ultra tiny" fitting a 5 player game easily within a card deck box. And unlike some of the other "Epic" offerings it doesn't come with a million fiddly bits that are hard to manipulate and/or read. We've played 2-5 player. I have not tried 1 player. This really hits right in the small game sweet spot. It's small and portable. When it's out it doesn't take up a lot of space on the table and it doesn't have a ton of custom bits to lose. It's a real strategy game without being tedious. It has good balancing mechanics so everyone is engaged right up to the end. Recommend!

Makes an incredible promise... and then DELIVERS!
There's no way that a 4X game can fit into a box the size of a deck of cards. Period. But... Ultra Tiny Epic Kingdoms does exactly that. This is not some sort of novelty or proof-of-concept: this is not a game that leaves you impressed with its ingenuity while you move onto something with more depth or bigger pieces. This is a game that offers the richness, complexity, enjoyment, and thematic immersion of a game 20 times its size, but that feels perfectly natural fitting into the box it comes in. This is not a game to be tested and then upgraded from: this is the complete package. And the gameplay? Oh, the gameplay. 16 completely unique civs... multiple paths to victory... a sense of tension and accomplishment... a sense of the fundamental fairness of the game... a sensible, simple rulebook. A SOLO MODE: of course, nothing can capture the enjoyment of playing with friends, but the solo mode here gives back nearly ALL of the tactical complexity that multiplayer does. This isn't some rule variant that allows the game to be awkwardly single player: it feels like playing against a computer (whose difficulty, it should be mentioned, can even be adjusted). A note on solo play: it will require a 12-sided die not included in the game, or any random-number generator app or website, available free. This game is a gem. It's the real deal.

It's an okay game.
Nothing wrong with components or the rules of the game. It's high quality as I expect a Gamelyn Games should be, it's just not quite what I expected. This particular game just doesn't happen to be in my wheelhouse.

I love this game
I love this game. Here's why: 1) It's small. About the size of a standard deck of cards. It's easy to bring anywhere, yet it functions like a full sized game. 2) It's fun. The gameplay reminds me of Settlers of Catan. It takes a couple times of reading the manual to fully understand how to play. I googled how to play as well. It's not a hard game. It just takes a little time to understand the setup and game play. 3) It has a solo play option. Since I moved I don't have a group of people to play board games with. The fact that I can play this on my own is great. It may not be the same as playing with other people, but it's still fun. I downloaded a dice app since I don't have a 12 sided set of dice.

Freaking Brilliant
The headline says it all, this game is freaking brilliant. They packed a full fledged board game into a box the size of a pack of cards. The mechanics are incredibly simple and the game is easy to explain to new players, but the strategies you can do change completely based on which race you decide to play as, which plot of land you're dealt, and how far into the future you're willing to plan. The amount of content jammed into this game really surprised me. This game is everything that makes tabletop gaming fun.
