The Insidious Sling is Hand-Crafted in Chicago and utilizes the toughest Ballistic Nylon we could find. It's durability gives the Insidious amazing protection from the elements. The Insidious has an imported $30, 2" Quick-Release Buckle that holds over a thousand pounds for good measure. With multiple easy to access YKK VISLON AquaGuard Zippered compartments, the Insidious is the perfect ‘grab and go daily carry’ for both men and women. The interior is made of lighter colored silver CORDURA material so you can easily see your gear. The strap is 'Lefty' and 'Righty' friendly thanks to our easy to use Tether System. If you've never used a Sling before, what are you waiting for? Insidious will find it's way into your everyday, all the time! Review: This is a unique sling. It’s larger than most slings, so probably better for larger frames. I’m 6” 240lb and it sits on my back very comfortably. The materials are clearly very high quality and I love that the bag is fully designed and made in the US. The shoulder pad is long and super comfy on my shoulder/chest. The bag is split into two compartments; a back compartment that is slightly narrower, and a larger main front compartment. There’s also a smaller front pocket as well. The bag is very roomy for a sling and will easily accommodate a 32oz water bottle, towel, or whatever else you want to carry out and about. I find this bag to be a little too large to use when I’m just running errands. (For that I’m using the Alpaka Go Sling Pro). From my limited use I have found this bag works best for a full day out exploring a city or going to the beach etc. I bought both the waxed canvas and the limited edition camo cordura version from Defy’s site and while I loved the waxy feel of the canvas, I ultimately returned it and kept the cordura as it is more light weight which is important since I will be packing this in my suitcase to use as a day sling at my destination. As far as using the bag for tech, I found it isn’t ideal, but it’s doable. The back compartment has two pockets, making even the larger pocket too small for large tablets. If you use an iPad mini it would be perfect. But I use a 12.9” iPad Pro and I need to put my iPad in the compartment itself rather than the pocket. The reason this isn’t ideal is that there is cushioning on the back of the sling but there is no cushioning on the sides or bottom. For this reason I had to buy a separate sleeve to give the iPad extra protection. It works, but it means opening two zippers instead of one to access the iPad and it also takes up more space from the volume of the bag. Still, for trips to the cafe it should work just fine. Aside from adding more cushioning, another thing I wish for is a softer material on the interior, particularly in the back compartment and front pocket. The material on the inside matches the material on the outside, so my cordura version feels a little rough and scratchy on the inside, although the canvas did feel a little better. Overall, this is a very high quality and roomy sling with a rugged look and great durability. It’s the kind of bag that is perfect when you want to carry and have easy access to your items, but don’t have enough stuff to justify a backpack. Although it is quite versatile, It’s not for everybody. If you have a smaller frame, it might feel a little too large as a sling, but if it fits you’re back right, it is super comfortable. Oh and I’m still getting used to this buckle system. My previous sling was a Chrome Kadet which uses a seatbelt style buckle. I find the seatbelt style a little easier to connect/disconnect without looking at it, but the buckle on the Defy does feel very nice and I’m sure I’ll get used to it with time. It’s awesome to see companies that still live by the old school “American made” philosophy, yet are combining it with the advantages of modern technology and materials. I will continue to use this bag, and will update this review as time goes on. But for now, I can definitely recommend this bag. Review: I was in the market for a sling. I thoroughly did my research, I watched dozens upon dozens of youtube videos on Carryology, EDC bags, Slings, men's bags, etc. There was a whole lot of selections, surprisingly. Money was not really an issue, I make ok salary and if I was going to spend good $$ on a bag, I was going to make sure it was of good quality that was going to last me a long long time, not something that was going to come apart if I yell at it. I also did not want a bag that was too preppy, too expensive and look too designer, I wanted it to be rugged, to look tough. Enter DEFY Bags. I first heard of Defy bags trough Carryology. They where talking about their 10 best slings I believe, when they showed the Insidious sling. I INSTANTLY spilled my water as I saw the Cobra buckle. I KNEW this had to be the bag of my dreams. The insidious bag was different. It looked like no other sling. It has it's own personality. Modern, with a touch of tactical, yet not too much. It is a remix of all good things. One look at the bag, and you can Def tell that the bag is going to last you a long, LONG time. That is exactly what I was looking for. I then decided to look at the Defy website. I was NOT disappointed! All of their products, bags and all, are products that are exactly what I was in search for, for a long time. As I read through a couple of their bags and accessories, Defy's story and brand, I then decided to give it a shot, and puled the trigger on February. Since I have been the proud owner of a Insidious sling, I have decided to purchase 3 more defy bags since then. I now have a collection that I'm very proud of, and each and every bag is special in my collection. The bags are heavy, they are going to stand the test of time. I know that If I place my Razer laptop inside a Defy bag, I can feel safe and protected, knowing that my laptop is covered by some of the best, toughest, ballistic material that is known to man. I'm not saying the material IS the best known to man, but it is ONE of thee best materials. Everywhere I have gone with my bags, I get stopped and complimented and/or asked on what type of bag I'm carrying. Defy is not a brand that is widely known like a Louis or Gucci or other massed produced designer bag, and I kind of like that. I know If I wear my bag somewhere, I'm not going to see someone else with the same exact bag. It can happen of course, but chances are far less than that of a known name. I also really like that Defy does not mass produce their products. Each one is painstakingly created by people, by hand, that took xxx amount of hours to put together. I can enjoy my bag knowing it was not put together by a machine that had done 10,000 bags that week of the same kind. I'm carrying something that was beautifully inspired, meticulously put together, and gorgeously crafted, built, and packed with 2 hands from a person that probably packed 15 that day and maybe more or maybe less, but at least it is not the 4,187th bag packed from assembly line A. In conclusion, this is a bag that you are REALLY going to love and appreciate. you are going to unpack it. You are going to smell it. You are going to pick it up, up above your head, toss it around, turn it around, open it all the way, slip your hands inside of the bag and feel the material. You are going to visualize your things inside of it BEFORE you put your things inside of it. This is the beautiful process of picking out the right bag and discovering that you have chosen the RIGHT bag and it is now inside your home and holding it, before SNAP!, the sound of the Cobra buckle snapping as you test out the sling arm across your chest and appreciating the workmanship as the Defy bag wraps it's arm around you, holding your chest across your heart and making you feel proud that the hard earned money you just dropped on this bag, was all but worth it. You look at yourself on that mirror with your bag on and say, "Damn, this bag is the shhhh**t! You have been shopping for weeks, months for that exact moment you bond with your bag. Thank you Defy but not for just creating a bag, nor just for a product, no. Thank YOU Defy for making an EXPERIENCE. These bags are going to be around for a long long time. #wheneveryoneelseobeysyoudefy #defybags #chicago #horweenleather Henry South Gate, California 90280

This sling is the perfect size for an iPad Pro 13" plus more. It fit my Kindle, a few books, my phone, wallet, and keys, and a few other items without any issues during my last outing with it. If you're looking for a bag that's a little bit bigger than the typical sling, but not the size of a small backpack, this is perfect for you. The comfortable padded strap is really what takes this from "good" to "great." Will definitely be using this bag a ton, and it feels durable enough to handle it.

It was very bulky and larger than I expected. The return was because the strap is very short and won't work for me
