The switch on my lamp was not working so I picked up this replacement part. It installed easily and the light switched right on. I was so glad I could inexpensively fix the lamp.

I used one for rewiring a heavy brass lamp. This is important to know: Very well made. Gets an A+ for sturdiness. The big hardware store chain’s brass things are terrible as you’ll never get the tight fit like these do. I had a lamp with a harp and it NEEDS the harp for a lampshade. This will work just fine with just a small, meaningless detail. The decorative rings (plastic O rings) won’t work with the harp. They are unnecessary and only decorative. These O rings are purely decorative, add zero to performance and strength of the socket & are made for hanging the “antique look”bulbs as pendant lights. I bought these as the information is confusing but I needed a better type of bulb fixture than what I could find at the big chain stores where customer service people hide in the shadows. If you’re rehabbing an old table or floor-stand lamp, these are really good. I use smart bulbs everywhere and no issues at all. Just make certain wiring is correct and cleanly installed. I will never use a metal bulb and switch replacement again - these are superior. Lamp is rehabbed as art piece. Harp works and no issues with smart bulbs. Just leave off the decorative rings if you are using a harp for your shade. Then your lamp will be good to go.

This replacement lamp socket works just as expected. I was able to easily replace the socket of a lamp that had worn out. It's a great value for the money and was easy to install. The quality of the switch is much better than the lamp's original. The instructions were easy to follow.

I was able to save our floor lamp. Took about ten minutes to install. Only reason I gave it four stars was the plastic on/knob could be about 1-2" longer.

Our table lamp quit working. My wife wanted to get a new lamp. Told her I would try to fix the one we had. I checked Amazon and found what I wanted, ordered it and had it in a very short time. I did have a little problem with the old light. A part that we had to use from the old lamp was glued to another part of old lamp. Took the part to my garage, got the hacksaw out and did a little sawing, When I sawed the two pieces apart, I installed the new part. It fit very good and was very easy to install. The new part saved me from buying a new lamp and the old lamp is now working very good again.
