I purchased this for my 7 year old grandson and he absolutely loves it! Highly recommend!!!

This How To Draw book from the series is one that really attracts the boys. It is now the end of September and they are looking forward to Halloween. They have a lot of fun trying to draw the interesting monsters that are on the pages. They are pleased with their drawings and do not have to ask me questions because the directions are so easy to follow. i plan to purchase as many from the series that I can get.

My [...] has enjoyed this book. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it doesn't stay open very easily, which I think a drawing book should do. Also, none of the drawings in the book are colored, like the front of the book. It would have been nice if 1 or 2 on each page showed a monster colored in. It does have a nice mix of monsters, some hard, some easy. It definitely interested him to draw monsters, so the concept is a winner. Just wish they'd make those slight improvements.

I absolutely love love this book because it brings my 5 year old so much joy! He literally spends hours drawing these monsters on his own and I am just amazed on how much he loves it and how much this book occupies him. He doesnt have any artistic talents unfortunately - haha! But he does such a great job following the steps in this book and the outcome of course isnt perfect but it is so darn cute and very very similar to the pictures in this book, I am honestly very impressed. I fell in love with this book that I have bought 5 more from this series and will be giving to my kids for Christmas.

My 10 year old daughter loves ti draw. I have been buying these books to draw this and that. So this time I decided to look and saw that they now had a book to help draw action figures. I was like great. I gave this to my daughter early to see what her reaction was. She was ecstatic. She has been practicing her drawing and added some of these drawings into her homemade comic book. The ones we bought her last year helped her with drawing different animals and other subjects. I think these are great for a child you loves to draw. I try and get some gifts each year that helps in an area of creativity or academic. One year more geared toward art supplies, one toward magic, one toward science-telescope/labs/microscope, one toward music/keyboard, one toward drawing.... Books like this are great and our daughter has taken it to school. I got a call from some parents asking me about the books.

The step by step method here is good and you will feel quite satisfied with results you get. Worth buying.

Bought around six months ago for my five year old daughter who loves drawing and we are still using it. Some of the monsters are quite tricky to draw, but I think that's the key to this series of books, as your child gets older the more difficult tasks can be attempted. Make sure you have plenty of paper, soft pencils and a decent eraser! It's probably stating the obvious, but it can also double-up as a colouring book too!

I bought this book for a 9 year old girl who has a great interest in drawing and is currently reading a book on monsters so, when I found this book I thought it was a great gift for her. Every drawing is layed out in really easy steps and all the images in the book look really good and are all different and very imaginative! A great gift!
