I mainly use this filter on my Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 when shooting video. If it affects image quality, it's certainly hard to tell. It feels like a premium filter, and it should for the price. It's easy to switch between stops by rotating the adjustment ring, and the adjustment ring has a nice, smooth feel to it.

*Initial reaction to this ND filter* The quality of it is great. Doesn’t feel cheaply made. If you’re wondering if it comes with a lands cap it does. It also comes with an extra handle to help rotate the ND filter. Just remember to turn off your auto ISO. For the price I paid. I’m very happy with this product. I have a YouTube channel(BIG ST3W) and I do a lot of outdoor content and indoor content while working on cars and this helps control my lighting. *I will give a six month update*

I’ve been using the NiSi 67mm Swift True Color ND-Vari filter for a few weeks now. It’s a reliable piece of my landscape kit. The build quality is excellent—solid, smooth-turning, and I think it will prove to be durable over the long haul. The “True Color” claim holds up impressively well, delivering neutral tones without that unwanted color cast common in cheaper ND filters. Variable density adjustment is precise and smooth, allowing quick exposure control in shifting light. I particularly appreciate that it plays nicely with wide-angle lenses—minimal vignetting, even around 16–20mm, which is rare. Why not five stars? Just a slight softness can creep in at the extreme ND end, and it’s not the most budget-friendly option. But for photographers who value color accuracy and pro-level consistency, this filter earns its keep.

No X pattern, virtually no color cast, and a range of 1-5 stops (compared to the more common 2-5) make the NiSi True Color ND-Vario the best Variable ND on the market for most situations. Technically, a slight bit of added warmth can be noticed in side-by-side comparisons, but it’s nearly impossible to detect otherwise and close enough to be matched in post without any negative impact to compressed photos or video. I do wish IR filtration had been implemented in the True Color, but perhaps the technology used here doesn’t allow for it. Because IR isn’t filtered, certain lighting conditions can be undesirable or even unusable, especially as more visible light is cut. Assuming (possibly incorrectly) that this one shortcoming is a necessary trade-off for the True Color’s unmatched color accuracy, I hold that the True Color ND-Vario is about as perfect as a VND can get and the first VND that doesn’t feel like a compromise between accuracy and practicality. Here’s hoping for a True Color version of their 5-9 stop next!

Really great filter. Fabulous clean no tainted colour casts. I wish it had a stronger level of Nd as wide open shooting at 1.4 still requires stopping down when filming. But loving it so far

Ich hatte vorher einen ND-Filter, der rund 80 Euro gekostet hat, und dann wurde mir dieser hier empfohlen. Ich muss sagen, der Filter ist wirklich top! Er verfälscht die Farben überhaupt nicht und gibt keinen ungewollten Farbstich aus – genau das, was man von einem guten ND-Filter erwartet. Er fühlt sich hochwertig an, erledigt seinen Job einwandfrei, und ich bin damit rundum zufrieden. Das ist mittlerweile einer meiner Lieblingsfilter, und ich kann ihn wirklich jedem weiterempfehlen. Mein Tipp: Lieber den Filter so groß wie möglich kaufen und Step-Up-Ringe nutzen, damit man ihn auch für Objektive mit größeren Anschlüssen verwenden kann und nicht später nochmal einen neuen kaufen muss. Absolut empfehlenswert!
