Healthy and cute, fast hatching.
I used to raise Triops and Sea Monkeys all the time when I was a kid, got back into the hobby now at 41yo and these little guys hatched quickly (on mother's day, Yay!) At least 30 to 40 have hatched so far and they're very active and seemingly healthy. When they're big enough to photograph I'll try to remember to add pics here.I'm raising them in a 2.5 gallon Sistema food container to start, it's on a heating pad and the tub has sand, Dwarf Hairgrass and Tiny Leaf growing inside to provide extra oxygen and purifying for my little guys.

These are NOT sea monkeys!!
I bought these thinking they were sea monkeys, obviously. Yes I know the package does not say sea monkeys, but I thought “Triops” was like a scientific name okay? I was expecting tiny little shrimp that I could farm and feed to my fish. That is not what happened. These, THESE…are monsters. They have elbows. They make eye contact with you. They understand the human language. They get the size of an adult man’s HAND. And they eat each other. You probably see the 3-star review and judge me saying “This is your fault. You’ve released this water bug plague upon yourself” but listen. Actually only a few of them hatched and I ultimately (because of cannibalism) ended up with one giant alien. Which was personally good for me because I didn’t want them in the first place and they clearly scare me. But this product promises an abundance of these giant freaks, so I feel that people who want that would be disappointed. I’m rarely ever the smartest person in the room but I promise you that I will never make this mistake again. It was a truly chilling experience. Just writing about it raises the hair on my arms and neck. I spoke to my therapist about it. My husband mocked my plight. I did care for it though, which was the hardest part. It was alive, I couldn’t just flush it, you know? It eventually died of an unknown cause and I grapple philosophically with the sense of relief I felt when I found it. I’m sure these beings have value and purpose and maybe if I’d been introduced to them at a zoo or bug pavilion I’d see that value. But because of my own assumptions, they became invaders to my home, the source of literal nightmares.Anyways if you want TRIOPS NOT SEAMONKEYS, maybe use a different brand.

Amazing!
The media could not be loaded. I love this its great but one thing to know is that only 1 or 2 stay alive but in the first two days we had life!

They hatched. So far, so good.
I skimmed the instructions and think I followed the important points and they hatched. So far so good. They’re more complicated than the advertising suggests. You need to buy natural spring water - but I just put fish tank conditioner in tap water and let it stand open - and put in these conditioner pellets I think for minerals. But they don’t need to be cleaned much (so they say), and the kit comes with all the food and substrate sand, etc. The kids were overjoyed to see the tiny guys wiggling around in day three.

No Eggs
I got everything except the eggs so no triops for me. The item is now unavailable to purchase as well so I can't exchange it for a new one. I bought this one because I already had an aquarium and now if I want to grow triops, I'll have to spend more money for a kit that includes an aquarium that I don't need.
