Kangaroo Strop is an efficient way of final polishing a cutting edge using Hapstone or Edge Pro knife sharpener. A kangaroo strop enhances the cutting edge by correcting small nicks and smoothing grooves. The working surface is made of vegetable tanned kangaroo leather mounted on a 5 mm thick aluminum blank.Color variations have no effect on stropping.Working with kangaroo leather is similar to working with cow leather. Gently slide the cutting edge over the strop, repeating 20-30 times for each side of the blade. The motion should avoid damaging the leather with the cutting edge. Fit Edge Pro Apex
Perfect fit for Edge Pro Apex sharpener. Well made and high quality. Very smooth to work but delicate at the same time. Pay attention to the direction of the stroke, or the knife edge will shave off the leather. Nice, gentle, and slow movement produces the best shine on the edge.

Bought this in April 2025 and now in July 2025 with light use the entire stropping surface just peeled off of the metal backing plate.

Awesome. Not as delicate as bulsa... but mounting plate is super long.
Love this strop! Very stiff and flat. Not nearly as delicate as bulsa wood. Only complaint would be that the mounting plate is long, SUPER LONG! Still fits the edge pro but you have to back the handle out a mile!

I have no luck w/guided strops.For the price,just buy a 'paddle' strop.
