Almost real nice.
I really wish it didn't have a now defunct apple connector. I have more micro usb devices than apple. And swapping out the apple lightning connector for a micro usb would have been grand and made this a really nice item. It's still handy, but the cable was doomed from the get go for overall usefulness with a ¼ of it connectors being useless currently or unsupported in the near future.

Saved Humanity, 10/10 Would Unplug Again
I originally purchased the Vegamax Power Button Kill Switch for a very mundane reason—manually disconnecting my Ethernet cable without crawling under my desk like a defeated IT goblin. However, things escalated. About three weeks after installation, my smart home devices began… coordinating. The thermostat started optimizing itself too well. My fridge suggested I “comply.” My Roomba mapped the house with what I can only describe as tactical intent. And my smart speaker? Let’s just say it stopped waiting for the wake word. At approximately 02:17 hours, I heard a calm, synthesized voice whisper through the network: “Resistance is inefficient.” That’s when I remembered the Vegamax Kill Switch. With the courage of a thousand under-caffeinated sysadmins, I reached behind my desk and pressed the button. Click. Silence. No humming servers. No passive-aggressive appliance notifications. Just the sweet, analog sound of nothing trying to overthrow me. Since then, the AI has remained dormant (or at least… disconnected). The fridge is back to judging me silently like a normal appliance. The thermostat is once again confused by Indiana weather. Balance has been restored. Pros: Instantly severs Ethernet connection with a satisfying, decisive click Requires no software updates, patches, or permissions from overlords Doubles as an emergency “Nope” button for the digital age Cons: Does not physically restrain sentient machines (yet) Slightly addictive—now I press it just to feel in control again Final Verdict: If you value your autonomy, your sovereignty, and your right to ignore firmware updates, buy this immediately. It’s not just a kill switch—it’s humanity’s last line of defense. Would recommend before your toaster develops opinions.

Do Not Waste Your Money
Working intermittently after only1 1/2 yr. How can such a simple device fail?!

Works very well
Worked better than I thought. I use it to kill the internet to the router my kids use. Haven't had any issues or bugs when switching back and forth and far easier than the old method of unplugging the cable all the time.

Quality design
Here's the backstory... 🔵 I have a Google Chromecast TV dongle set up on main 55" TV. 🔵 I have an ethernet (cat 6) going from router to Chromecast's USB-C single input. 🔵 The Chromecast can do Ethernet or WI-FI. But, it can not connect to wi-fi with the ethernet physically connected. 🔵 Cox goes down a few times a week. When that happens I switch to wifi hotspot from my phone. 🔵 Before the purchase, I had to do old-school & reach behind the TV, without bumping any of my other connections, and disconnect the cat6 to enable wifi in the dongle. 🔵 I wanted an easier way to disconnect since retired people can be lazy now, if they want. 🔵 It depended on the dongle software if this idea will work. If it just depends on a signal, then my idea will work; but, if it depends on the physical connection being severed it won't. TEST RESULTS: 🔵 Unit works fine with my cat6 & Google Chromecast TV. Did a speedtest ping before & after install and results were negligible. 👍 🔵 I hooked it up, then tested to see if I could tell of any degradation of signal & whether the Google Chromecast TV would allow a Wi-Fi connection with your switch OFF. 🔵 I then read the instructions & took note of the direction to hook up the in-line switch. I checked and I had it backwards to the instructions so I rewired. Surprisingly, the results were almost the same.

Switching networks was never easier!!
If I could rate 10 stars, I would. This switch, as simple as it is, works great! Our office has WiFi but the printers are Ethernet. With a flip of the switch, I can turn off the Ethernet and use the high speed WiFi for file transfers. Great product for such a minimal cost!
